Just got back from a small weekend anime convention out of town that's also near one of the only two TRU stores in the state so I had a short list of things I was looking for (TR deluxe waves 4 and 5, TR Blitzwing, TR Leader Prime, TR Clone 2-pack, TLK Nitro, TLK Sqweeks) and was a little bit successful.
Prowl came from Walgreens while looking for the clones (didn't find them). He was the only figure I wanted in that line (Maybe I'll get Jetfire) and he's pretty nice in the size to price ratio and he has just enough articulation to be fun.
Krok is about as much of wave 4 as I've ever seen. Got this one from a Target, the only store I've ever seen wave 4 at (and just the two repaints to boot). Still no sign of wave 5 even though I've already found wave 6 at Walmart.
Nitro was sitting at the Walmart down there, otherwise the place looked like the local ones. This was the only non-wave 1 TLK figure I saw all weekend. I know a lot of people have been gushing over him and others aren't sure what all the fuss is about, it looks like I'm part of the later group. His bot mode is pretty nice, but his jet mode is nothing special, especially the way his huge legs are visible from every angle and don't look like anything useful. Plus his hand is visible right there under the cockpit with no attempt to hide it. I also don't like the way his wings can't be straitened out thanks to all of the joints and they aren't really VTOL wings like Windblade and Thrust as there's no pass through. The more I play around with him with his kinda realistic top and jumble of shapes bottom the less I want to stick my TM Thunderwing on him.
A couple observations: I saw a lot of Soundwaves over the weekend between Kmart, Target, and TRU. I haven't seen him locally in over half a year. Saw a lot of Broadsides, big surprise. Just like locally, Triggerhappy is eeeeeeverywhere. At TRU, while the Transformers section was packed full, it was all old stuff and lots of it. They had a bunch of MPM Bees and one MP-10 Prime, but no MPM Prime and no Trypticons (the only TR figs they had were a Fort Max, a Soundwave, a few Broadsides, and a bunch of wave 3 TMs).
Oh, and if you're looking for a TM Shuffler try that seasonal calendar and gift store that pops up at the mall, I found a bunch of them there (and a lone Twinferno, damn deluxe wave 3) for $7.
