But unnumbered though they may be, Red Swoop and Nameswapped Targetmaster: Porsche Type - the pilot figures for the line, no less - are still Prime Wars redeco SELECTS figures. And among the numbered's, there is Lancer. So it's not an impossibility.

Those two were likely first because they were early start of the line figures since a line like this takes time to plan which were also probably unreleased hold overs from Prime Wars if things like Elita-1's boxart and early Swoop pics are anything to go by, which might also explain their loose quality problems.

I wouldn't quite count Lancer either because she's a slight retool of the Greenlight figure that was released in Siege rather then the Moonracer/Nova Star versions, which were also only done to complete the Elita-1 Combiner.

I would heavily doubt that anything older then the last line of Prime Wars is used.

Also there is literally nothing that stops Bugbite from being a retool/repaint of Cliffjumper himself with no Bumblebee which lets not kid ourselves is gonna happen at some point especially with the Bumblebee like details on Cliff.

...why would they not make Hot House and Greasepit Modulators? I don't understand where you got that idea from, Hasbro seems to be past the point of leaving teams unfinished/broken up and those two are the only remaining MM bases of the same type as the first two Modulators. It seems almost certain to me at least that Hot House will be an Airwave redeco/retool, given the presence of tank treads on Airwave that serve no real purpose and aren't part of his design, and Greasepit will either be his own mold or an Ironworks repaint/retool like you just showed.

Also, so far, Selects HAS been limited to WFC molds for it's WFC Selects figures. The closest to an exception to that has been Lancer, but she still used Greenlight's tooling/version of the mold that only got released IN WFC. The only Selects figures that used old molds were the PotP limbs that were explicitly labeled as PotP Selects and had nothing to do with WFC.

I'm also not saying Hubcap is guaranteed to be MW Hubcap, I'm just saying that using the Selects figures released in Siege as a basis (where no molds were repeated and non-G1 references have happened already via Hot Shot), if those patterns are kept constant then either Hubcap will likely be MW Hubcap from Hoist and Bugbite will be a Cliff repaint, or there's a Bumblebee figure/mold we have yet to see that Bugbite will use and Hubcap will then be a Cliff repaint, since Hasbro already said Bumblebee won't use the Cliff mold if he gets made (unless they just mean he'll be a heavy remold like Siege Ratchet).

As for the clones, I might get them if they sell them for Deluxe price one sale. If freaking Walgreens can sell two clones for $18 then Target should be able to sell them for $20, not this nonsense $25 price.

Considering the Walgreens set was two non-matching clones, and the other two were only available in huge expensive box sets? I like this way better, and I hope there's another set coming for the Autobot clones.

With Hot House, it was the fact that we haven't seen anything of him yet so using the CW Powerglide mold beefed up to a Deluxe with accessories is also a possibility. That and when I double-checked who Hot House was I overlooked his base
With Greaspit it's just hedging my bets because there is that other Greasepit. And hey, you were the one speculating a Machine Wars Hubcap.

I don't see Hasbro using that design however... not do I really see them using Hoist. Selects mostly uses the alternate head of any given figure unused in the main line, Hoist and Trailbreaker qualify as one such pair, yet both appear in the main line. In other words, no more heads to use unless there's a third, which is exceptional.

With the size Cliffjumper ended up being I don't think they'll be redoing all the Minibots they've already done, but there's no way they're not gonna give us some kind of Bumblebee sometime soon, and given the current line, it's gonna be that proper even-more-G1-ish one that we still lack. Sure, it's definitely not gonna be a straight retool of Cliffjumper (it'll probably reuse a handful of parts, but will be mostly a new mold), but it's coming.

Cliffjumper's mold literally has design details on him that were specifically Bumblebee rather then Cliffjumper.

At the very least Bumblebee being repurposed from the mold was/has been considered when designing the Cliffjumper toy.

And Goldbug was IN the cartoon - Bumblebee got rebuilt into Goldbug in "The Return of Optimus Prime" and continued to be Goldbug in "The Rebirth". And unlike Bumblebee's regular bod, Goldbug has yet to receive an adequate toy.

I picked up Cliffjumper today. He's really awesome. My only bug is no Autobot sigil in robot mode. His gun is so large it blocks any visibility to a sigil if there were one, anyway.

BTW, Hasbro needs to do all the minibots in deluxe form like Cliffjumper (and most assuredly Bumblebee).

Goldbug is the only Throttlebot I care about thanks to his presence in the Return of OP, one of the only TF VHSs I owned.

Buuuuut I'm cool with the Goldbugs I already got. 30th and United BB with a 3rd party head. Classics Bee is, to me, perfect. Not itching to replace him. Even if it's with a bug alt. mode.

TR Bee's alt mode isn't even close enough to something like a New Beetle to be considered genericized, though. I think it's possible to get a lot closer to a Beetle, Classic or New, before it verges on too close to do without licensing.

Also, again, any Bumblebee they do will probably be mostly a new mold, but there's no reason to give Cliffjumper Bumblebee-style biceps if they're not gonna reuse at least those pieces for an ER Bumblebee himself.

I'm just saying, 86-88's presence isn't exactly minor As for Regular Bee being more likely... I dunno. Goldbug's need is greater, and he's appealing himself because of A. being fresher ground and B. being shiny.
