I didn't play FOC, but I do remember they had a mission together. My son puts them together like Batman and Robin, too so you're not alone.

I've had both of the WFC Ironhides and I love them both, especially after Ironhide's kinda infamous history of toys. However, the one thing that frustrated me most about ER Ironhide (ERonhide) is his kibble shield. My problem with kibble shields is that they're usually too small, but the one time we get a proper shield... it's the most awkward thing for the figure to wield.
That is until you plug his included gun into the shield and turn it into a handle!

Just slide the cannons out, plug his gun into the shield horizontally, and bam! (it's easier to plug the gun into his hand upright first and then attach the shield to that)

It's so obvious, I don't know why it took me this long to do it. The one downside is that he'll be without a firearm... but if you've bought like any other WFC figure, you have at least four spare guns lying around (Especially Astrotrain). My choice is the Doomblast because Ironhide needs two cumbersome weapons to awkwardly wield.
Sorry for the weird white-balancing, I still can't find the option for the life of me.

I was really thinking about this set due to the MASK homages but ultimately there are only two molds in the box that are any good, and I can get them in the space station set, with a rocket launcher.

The MASK stuff was what caught my eye for sure, but I missed out on the big 10-pack of Micromasters when that dropped last year(?), so I figured my collection could use a few more. I had high hopes when Hasbro gave IDW the MASK license, I figured we'd see new toys of them for sure but sadly it was not to be.

Who care about the shield, you just made the G1 Sled!

Well, kinda, but close enough.

That is an example of "love of the obscure". The cartoon, if not hardly ever, never featured it in a significant role, thus "it does not exist" to most. Having it be referenced by a later toy, also serves as an acknowledgement and validation, which ticks the box of a different kind of people.
I wonder how a certain Energon toy did in that regard:

I always thought it worked best on Ratchet as a sorta mobile medical station, a motorised hospital bed basically. A riot shield works well for Ironhide since he'd probably be on the frontline pushing forward.
Maybe if there's an attachment that makes the sled look mobile (treads? skis?) it could look better.

MASK would be a tough line to make toys for today, you basically have to cover two bases; a transforming vehicle, and an action figure that can interact with said vehicle. The price point would be very high.
On another note, Target sent me an email this morning saying my Earthrise Thrust was canceled. Well that stinks.

I'd love a new MASK line. and re-issues of old MASK toys.
Think of an updated Thunderhawk in a 2020 Camaro:
Was a super big fan of that line as a kid. I owned Thunderhawk, Gator, Condor, Slingshot, Firefly, Switchblade, Manta, Vampire and Razorback. Still have my original Condor though lost both Brad Turners long ago.
An updated line would probably be in the $50 range for the smaller vehicles, and the $70 range for things like Rhino, Swirtchblade, etc...
And maybe a "G1" Walmart exclusive re-issue line seem likely there.
Still would love it if Hasbro gave it a shot.

Boo on Target for that! I've actually seen Thrust on store shelves a few times this year, but it's really hit and miss from Target to Target. Our distribution woes are far from over, I'm afraid.

Never saw it in my Target, although there's a chance that Target has been holding off on stocking certain items and once things go back to "Normal" there will be Thrusts, Cobra Troopers, Vipers, Beachheads, and Firefly's aplenty. Baroness too.

Hate to say that I called it but... Target seriously needs to drop the "collector oriented" bs they've been trying to sell, this is just embarrassingly hypocritical

Target, Walmart, and other Brick-and-Mortar retailers need to step up their online game. Their sites suck and they put as little effort into them because they want people in stores for that impulse purchase. Although nothing is as bad as Kmart used to be.

I only saw him at my local Target twice... The first time there were 3, the second (at least a week later) there were 2. Other than maybe the clone 2 pack, I believe he was the last ER figure I ever saw on shelves/pegs.

My usual dealer is offering $50 shipped but I'm hoping to find it on eBay for $40 shipped. I have purchasing apps that I earn points so I'd rather go that route.
