But that feels like a missed opportunity to make a Transformer look like a proper Joe vehicle. We had a few years of things the other way around at SDCC, but Hasbro always comes up short on doing it the other way around. We've had some thinly veiled tributes like CW Viper and Energon Snowcat, but never anything proper, instead preferring to go with Star Wars and Marvel crossovers. I think we've waited long enough.

How about going one further than a
Random Transformer? What I was proposing was for a HISS Tank, that transforms into Megatron. A [scaled down] USS Flagg with a Broadside altmode. Take the Joe designs and retrofit a Transformer into them. Not just a redeco over an existing Transformer design.
Oh, absolutely this would be the ideal, but that's more of a retail thing not an SDCC thing since we rarely see extensive retooling or unique molds at SDCC. Something I've always loved the looks of and would appreciate a figure of is the Night Raven Starscream, he's super imposing and stealthy looking.

As far as a new Titan goes, there's always Primus. He'd be a good fit for 2021 to go with Unicron, he'd of course be shorter, but somehow that suits him and he wouldn't be incredibly shorter at 24".

He would basically be a robot inside a ball, but maybe they could add an inch to make up for his simpler transformation and lack of third mode (he does NOT need a third mode). Plus if they're really accurate there'd be a bunch of intentional gaps in the planet's surface it doesn't need to be a perfect sphere.
Here's one I haven't seen anyone mention, how about something original? People have been asking for a new Straxus figure, why not go all the way and pair him with a transforming Darkmount? Maybe Straxus could both transform into a tank/canon thing and also something that resembles his own head to make Darkmount look vaguely like Straxus as well. They could possibly even repurpose it from Scorponok, remove the obvious scorpion parts (claws replaced, scorp legs and tail tip removed) to make a castle mode out of it, basically a brick with towers, and basically the same base mode.
Of course they could just say screw scale and do a massive Optimus Prime. Maybe even a proper Star Convoy since he has a base mode for Micromasters.
