Did Target just give up after failing to get them on store shelves this past summer in sufficient quantity and geographic distribution?

Were they really not in sufficient quantities? I remember lots of posts of nicely stocked end caps.

It varied wildly from store to store. My local store ever even made an end cap. They had a shelf tag in the regular aisle that was never stocked. Same with the clones. I found mine at the next closest store that I usually go to because until Kingdom and SS86, my store sucked (still have 3 ER Ironworks and 2 SS Heli Dropkick, and 2 Siege Shockwave). That store had 6 (5 after I bought mine) on the endcap. Next day I was there again for something else and they were all gone, never to be restocked.

Yeah, I never saw either of the Summer exclusives despite having the endcap (which was mostly Siege figures and screwed up my shelves for the rest of the year after the endcap came down) despite having two tags up for the two pack on the endcap and then one later in the Transformers section. Clone set never showed up either.

Sounds like this is basically the same as what we saw last year with Omega Supreme and Jetfire getting rereleased in the Summer, just it's Scorponok and the Seekers this year.

The good news on that? Hasbro is apparently paying attention to what was hard to obtain and still has demand. All 4 of those you mentioned got second runs, along with a few others like Redwing and the spy patrol 3. That is a great trend I'd like to see continue.

I didn't know Redwing got an extra run.

I guess I'm not sure myself either. Maybe it was another existing stock thing, but in any case Entertainment Earth had him earlier this year and maybe a few other online retailers. I though it was a second run, but maybe it is more of whatever happened here with TC and Skywarp.

Yeah, that July release is definitely a new run for both BBTS and EE to list them for that time, and not long after Scorponok's rerelease. We'll see if it shows up in more places.

The leaks for SS86 Coronation Screamer say he's got remolded wings & shoulders and that he got pushed back to 2022, and those shoulder and crown parts look 3D-printed to me, so I'm pretty sure that's just an ER Screamer with fan-made parts.

Plus, y'know, the individual who posted it blatantly said it's the Earthrise one when SS86 got mentioned, that seems pretty open-and-shut to me.
