They're part of his back. Check out the torso in alt mode, you can see where it connects. Both arms and the the middle portion collapse into the rocket as one piece. I do think they might be playing with perspective or something in these images because the ends of the rocket that form the arms look longer on the bot. I do see that the gun end pops out further in rocket mode.

ZeroWolf wrote:@warpath from impactor, I can't see this as Robot scale is important, I see it more likely that the next line will either reintroduce the legends class or offer a set so the mini bots are still smaller than the rest.

Scale is important for cartoon scale, not toy scale in this line. Warpath is a bit of an odd one in the cartoon so either Legends or Deluxe would work for him (maybe even Voyager).

But personally I don't want to ever see another Warpath without a chest gun again.

generations deluxe warpath is one of my favourites tf toys in my collection period. If they redo him I hope he's a legends class to fit in with the original minibots.

Now my real question is Skorponok... Titan or Commander? On one hand I really like the towering titans and toy and American cartoon wise, Skorponok should be a titan. Though he was literally half Fortress Maximus' size as a toy. In the comics he was slightly larger than the others.. and would like them to have done a new FM and Skorponok at that scale because quite frankly the titan toys are a bit too unwieldy to be enjoyable as transforming toys. Trypticon was the most fun one of the 3 I own cos he was the most stable and solid, Metroplex and FM were very floppy.
My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid

Never liked that blocky Skyfire design but for people that do then that figure looks good for them. I preferred the ones more influenced by the Macross figure they could never use again. Blocky bot and blocky, very non-aerodynamic, 'jet' just never worked for me.

Omega is interesting. Again not a big fan of the blocky robot but the rocket base looks neat and I get why they included Countdown even if it means he won't get an update of his own rocket base.

Mirage is stretching credibility even more than the others with his alt-mode. Not cybertronian at all. And the robot mode looks cheap and bad, still it has his proper chest unlike the CW version and isn't a gangly freak like the Classics toy.

Not that interested in Mirage or Impactor, neither look that good and neither are really that important to me, but Jetfire and Omega... take into account the leader class Optimus and the SS Optimus from Bumblebee as well and I really hope I can get a new job.
Also, since he's one of the core cast of the new comic that seems to be corresponding with this toyline, is anyone else hoping for a deluxe Bumblebee, or am I the only one not sick of him?

Scorponok/Megazarak will be the last one, probably hitting on 2020 or early announcements later month, we got Trypticon, Omega Supreme, i doubt he'll be the last Titan to be made

For Commander class, i think Grandus. THE ABOSLOTE UNIT. he has too many modes.

Omega Supreme and Impactor are hard buys for me. The fact that Omega comes with more effect parts makes him even juicier!

Jetfire is a nice surprise, good looking enough to have me consider replacing the 2014 Leader.

Mirage looks a lot better than I expected, again enough for me to consider replacing the Classics Deluxe.

Overall, if Siege continues like this, I’m confident the follow up lines will be just as kickass!

Is there a good G1 Scorponok at voyager size? Never liked the cartoon version but enjoyed the Marvel version where as you say he wasn't much bigger than most of the other leaders.

If money isn’t an issue, the BotCon 2014 one ain’t bad. It’s part of that year’s boxset though, loose I usually see go for $100 at the cheapest.

Considering what his role was I never saw Skyfire's alternate mode as a jet and more of a Cybertronian troop transport vehicle like a Pelican from Halo or a Clone Gunship from Star Wars.

(His name being Skyfire and not JETfire in the cartoon helps make that more believable)

As for Warpath and his size maybe they can create a new Miniluxe class size just for him eh? ;)

It's a really fun idea Hasbro and Takara cooked up to make extra optional armor bits to kinda/sorta turn Sunbow "Skyfire" into G1 toy Jetfire in robot mode, but it really could have been executed a bit better. Simply playing around with the paint job on the chest piece could do a world of good, for instance. Jetfire could also use some bigger red pieces to bulk out the sides of his lower legs. A way to split the booster pack to have two skinnier nacelles sticking up on the back instead of one large red brick would be nice. Maybe it can do this? I know a lot of people are upset that the masked helmet doesn't include the black antennae. However, maybe it does! Take a look again at the black guns on the tips of the wings in the picture above. Then go back and look at the wings again in alt mode or "Skyfire" mode. They are removeable! I'm hoping you can just pop those small guns on to the sides of the masked helmet to complete his classic look. That still won't fix the fact that the visor is blue instead of red, though.

Just like with Shockwave, the main attraction is the base figure, and the additional accessories are just for fun. Also, to anyone worried about his size, this new Commander Class Jetfire is sure to be at least an inch and a half taller at the head that the Thrilling 30 Leader Class Jetfire mold. I did some measurements on my T30 Jetfire, and I think we're in for a real treat with scaling here. If SIEGE Leader Class figures are worth $50 USD, I definitely think Jetfire is a comparable value at $80 USD, based on apparent size (and anticipated mass).

I have to agree, this backpack is suspicious. My money is on that opening in some fashion... but *how* it accomidates a deluxe class... I have a hard time seeing. I could have seen it cracking open and holding say.... four micro massters ala the oldd micromaster shuttle set.... but a deluxe? especially since say Sideswipe and Hound have very different shapes.

Yeah but that's an Energon retool and has really messy and goofy robot proportions instead of the more imposing look he should have. Scorpion mode is ok and the spaceship thing is better than the base mode of the original i suppose. More useful at least. Not worth the crazy monies.

People may be tired of the Geewun look, but I'm pretty glad that this new Jetfire is as G1 cartoon accurate as possible. Because it's the first time it happen from the 1st party.

He may cost close than 100$CAN for me, but it's way better than the 300$+ of the 3P offerings.

Also looks like Omega’s base mode might have more play features in it, that is initially apparent. I’d put money on his yellow shins opening.... and it looks like his crotch might open? Bonus points if the chest interior is Telatran One.

I also still feel like that tank might transform: it looks like it’s got an aweful lot of pins in it for “just plugging into his chest”.

Titan AND Commander. I need the Titan because he's a "city bot" (really a "base bot") and if Metroplex can be Titan then surely Scorponok can be. Then I need the Commander as something to counter TR Powermaster Prime like he did in the Marvel comics.

We know from the tank gray model that the inside is hollow so I doubt it turns into anything else. Most likely all the hinges are just to hide things like the tank turret (only the back of it forms the head). The tank hatch is for sticking Countdown and probably other Micromasters inside. The crotch opens to stick the tank inside, in base mode it flips all the way down to cover the hips. I think the tank side guns are hinged so that they stuck forward on his chest and are revealed in bot mode along with the missiles when the yellow hinges are flipped up. The tank's change into the chest is far more complex than just sticking it in there, you can tell by looking at the torso frame in base mode.

I also just noticed that the tank is WAAAY too big for the track. What's that all about? :HEADHURTS:

Ok Hasbro, if you are going to make figures like these you need to start sell the space I need to store them. I'm running out of shelf space!

The Commander class seems intriguing. A response to Shockwave's pricepoint?

I'm curious what they are going to do with the Decepticons. They are clearly recreating the 84/85 line up. But the Decepticons are outnumbered right now. (I'm still crossing my fingers for Thrust/Dirge/Ramjet). I wonder what trick they have up their sleeve.

Omega and Jetfire look absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait to get my hands on. I willl say I like Impactor for the most part other than the gaping holes in his legs but oh well I’m sure he will be nice in hand. Mirage looks great as well but something about his legs seems off I think it might just be the way they are posed. I’m surprised that they choose to reveal this particular figures you think that they would have gone with some of the battlemasters and micromasters and not reveal the big ticket items earlier. But I’m not going to complain.

Okay they don't look THAT bad let's not over-react here. Mirage actually looks pretty good. Both modes look fairly clean (aside from whatever is going on under the spoiler in his vehicle mode). He looks better than his combiner wars and thrilling 30 version, at least to me.

I don't quite know how I feel about Impactor though. Like he could be good, but that CGI render is not selling me on the guy.

Hmm, well then........

Omega in robot mode looks absolutely fantastic! Base mode leaves much to be desired, though. I can't wait to get this guy once he drops on clearance pricing!

The only thing I don't like on Skyfire is his price. Again, can't wait till he drops on sale.

Impactor and Mirage both look like complete garbage. I agree with Dmax that Impactor may be the most disappointing figure of the year. I feel Hasbro spent to much time worrying about how to repaint him, and not enough time actually making a good Impactor during the design phase.

You mean Classics over Thrilling 30 don't you? And I quite liked Mirage in CW, first time they ever repainted a Mirage out of Dragstrip and not the other way round.

Can't wait to see all of these in person. Extremely pleased with how Jetfire turned out, especially with how bummed I was about the Generations 2014 version and with the Classics 2006 version.

This version Omega's legs don't split into track parts like the original ones did, instead they are holding up the base. It would have been nice for a longer track especially is they do make the tank battery operated again. I want to get this one. Omega was one of my favorite's back in the day even though I never had him until I got an encore version from takara years ago.

It's "Cybertronian"! Apparently there isn't a lot of wind drag on Cybertron even though it has breathable oxygen.

Looking closer, I really can't tell where the entire front of the car goes, they hide those big wheels really well (the wheels on the legs are the back wheels). Scratch that, I figured it out. The rear wheels are on his back, the front wheels are on the legs. The front of his legs and feet move up on arms to cover the torso forming the middle of the car while the back of the legs and wheels form the front of the car.
