Rodimus Knight wrote:This version Omega's legs don't split into track parts like the original ones did, instead they are holding up the base. It would have been nice for a longer track especially is they do make the tank battery operated again. I want to get this one. Omega was one of my favorite's back in the day even though I never had him until I got an encore version from takara years ago.
Emerje wrote:We know from the tank gray model that the inside is hollow so I doubt it turns into anything else. Most likely all the hinges are just to hide things like the tank turret (only the back of it forms the head). The tank hatch is for sticking Countdown and probably other Micromasters inside. The crotch opens to stick the tank inside, in base mode it flips all the way down to cover the hips. I think the tank side guns are hinged so that they stuck forward on his chest and are revealed in bot mode along with the missiles when the yellow hinges are flipped up. The tank's change into the chest is far more complex than just sticking it in there, you can tell by looking at the torso frame in base mode.
I also just noticed that the tank is WAAAY too big for the track. What's that all about?![]()

I really want to see this thing from the back, looking forward to Toy Fair!

Since Omega's gonna be 2 feet tall according to his write up, he'll be of similar height to Metroplex:Ig89ninja wrote:All I want to see is how big Omega is when Compared to Devastator

He'll be bigger than cw devy for certain as he's 2",ss devy... I can't remember how big he's supposed to be

All we know of the size classes are 2 voyagers(Rampage and Long Haul) and 2 deluxes((Hightower and Scrapmetal) both of which form 1 arm) with the probability of 2 to 3 voyagers (Mixmaster, Scrapper, and Overload) and 1 leader (Scavenger). So what does that all add up to?
ZeroWolf wrote:Wasn't there rumours of two leaders to make him up?
Regarding Impactor, we always knew he was going to be deluxe as that was the nature of the pole, it's just the nature of the beast of compromise.

It has nothing to do with compromise and all to do with the fact that they rushed to get him out after the poll, this was a fairly short turn-around for a reveal and it shows; his legs are possibly the most hollow on a tf since the authentics, and mirage suffers similarly (though, I admit he does some clever stuff with his arms)

I wouldn't say it was a rush job as so much of the designs would have been done on all the choices just like in the other polls.

But, man, those mirage and impactor figures do not look good at all![]()
Omega looks fine, properly beefy at the very least, I might get him if he goes on a steep sale around christmas, but I don't feel any need to get him![]()
So now that we have a baseline size and price, anyone have any guesses at whom else can fill out this new size class? Mine is Tidalwave
Okay they don't look THAT bad let's not over-react here. Mirage actually looks pretty good. Both modes look fairly clean (aside from whatever is going on under the spoiler in his vehicle mode). He looks better than his combiner wars and thrilling 30 version, at least to me.
I don't quite know how I feel about Impactor though. Like he could be good, but that CGI render is not selling me on the guy.
You mean Classics over Thrilling 30 don't you? And I quite liked Mirage in CW, first time they ever repainted a Mirage out of Dragstrip and not the other way round.
