There is nothing that can make me like him, I was hoping he'd look like his most iconic and widely known version (they use that same argument on o/p, pretending that g1 is the most widely known, when realistically, its probably a toss up between that and the bay-verse design that's more well known at this point);

It'd be like bw dinobot winning a poll, and we'd hope it'd look like he did in the show:

and then getting this:

but we'd be told to like it b/c he was totally that at one point in the continuity, so, no, I don't have to like it cuz its teh geewun, and it seems like I'm not alone in being outright disappointed

Given the lack of widespread release of Siege in Australia, if one of you who doesn't like Impactor would like to send me one, I definitely won't say no.

I like a lot of these, but have to be a lot more choosy nowadays. Omega is WAY more tempting than I thought he'd be. But do I have the rom for another titan? No. Am I still happy with YotS and Energon Sentinel? Yes.

Skyfire is REALLY tempting too. I wonder if the same reasons will keep me away, though. I have the original classics and T30. But, if they're keeping true to their scale chart he should be a larger robot.

Mirage, I have Classics and am still happy with him. I have AN Impactor ... this one is better, but I also have no room. I don't hate this one like many other seem to. He's okay.

Well, for Optimus Primal we had people voting in him as his iconic base Primal self and we got Optimal Optimus. I'm not going to defend Hasbro but I'll just say that we voted for an Impactor figure. Not for an IDW comics Impactor figure. Maybe we expected it, sure, and the fandom generally tend to associate Impactor with the IDW version because it had more screentime but this Marvel UK Impactor is hardly inaccurate. Yes I would have prefered and expected the spartan-like helmet design of IDW but as people pointed out this is the GEEWUN pandering line. And this is undeniably a GEEWUN as all hell Impactor.

As some pointed out: we should have expected that. I mean, it was even in the artwork for the vote. #-o

I'm kind of hoping Springer will be a smaller voyager, to better scale with Impactor, who will presumably be a larger deluxe.

A smaller Voyager AND a triple-changer? I don't wanna destroy your hopes. I want a Springer that scales well with a Deluxe Impactor, too, but...

The G1 toy did it, and so have others since. Springer is really not a hard triple changer design to pull off since he just reorients the same parts between modes.
Here's another example of pulling it off at a rather small size : https://m.aliexpress.com/item/329005158 ... 9589663603

Maybe we'll see impactor released with an IDW head as a select series release. Probably won't happen but you never know

I'm betting on someone making a 3rd party head and new harpoon/drill, either as a Shapeways item or as a small upgrade it by some 3P company.

That head certainly would have been better than what the toy has. He looks actually mean there.

Skyfire has alot of mistranformations on the armor mode. This is possibly that his components at the back of his backpack can actually make him the complete Heavy Armor from Macross.

Although the official renders dont. This is a sneaky way to prevent getting issues with Harmony Gold (Which was lost due to the case of Macross related stuff from Japan)

Impactor as Omega Spreem wont be bad, i do love getting more :WRECKERS: in the team. Omega Spreem or Warpath retooled in Impactor would be great.

Mirage can be redecoed as Cybertonian Dragstrip, im a sicker for Drag Racecars

I doubt that the Titan omega will have a Repaint of blue sentinel robot from the G1 Days. would literally $#@! Myself if Omega Doom redecoed in the Omega supreme mold.

EDIT: Impactor uses SG Autobot insignia, are they hinting us a Shattered Glass continuity?

The image on the Armor mode, there are features and pegs for the Legs of skyfire, meaning the Backpack of his can turn into armors for extra armor, but :TAKARATOMY: :HASBRO: didnt intend to use it because it might equal that of VF-1 Valkyrie With Heavy Armor attached.

I think it is just because they decided to go with an outline symbol instead of a filled red one.

So you assume the backpack can be split apart to form more armor, but st this point it’s just a guess.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t doubt that the backpack can do more than what is shown here, but everything not shown is just speculation..

Because it's not an SG symbol: rather it's just a white outline of :BOT: against his violet. Big difference. SG has no role outside of the Club, and only serves as inspiration for Hasbro.

Especially the lips. So it's confirmed: In the next Transformers movie Impactor will be played or at least voiced by Sylvester Stallone.

See? He has a nose.

This artwork looks definitely different from what we've got in the renders. Yes, he does have a nose. BUT he also has an actual drill. And yellow eyes. And the cheek guards of the helmet are higher which complements the Spartan look way more. Of course those are all small minor details but that's what actually makes a difference.
But I really have to see the actual figure and especially the crest in real/3D/from the side.

*Even Mirage's whole head looks way better. The face is slimmer and more pronounced and the helmet is not just round on the top and sides. Those designs remind me of the ones for the Earth Wars game.

HG loses their licence soon -2021? (even if they have sold Sony a Robotech movie :P), they get to keep the robotech name and some character names but that's about it. Probably easier for has/tak to work out deals/collaborations with the macross owners.

I'll worry about Impactor's lips once we see him in person. Usually once they paint the face the facial details soften. I'm guessing it'll be molded yellow with purple and silver paint.

I've found a problem with Seige. Distribution here in the UK. :( The only toy store that's easy to get to still has Twinferno hanging around with some POTP legends. And the store that does have Seige stuff only has Deluxe and Voyager, not a Leader or Legends in sight. Pl us it's fat enough away that I can get to it, but it takes a while.

I know I can order stuff online but I'm weird and find that so much less satisfying than picking it up from a B&M store.

I disagree, it cant be that high when we already had two official versions of the headsculpt people were hoping to see.

Though I 100% concede that had I looked closer at the fan vote artwork I could have seen that this more spartan like helmet was not what we were getting.

Also, Sabrblade, you think its worth changing the wiki that says this new Impactor's body is IDW based? Because I sure dont see it.

Oh man I wish I could do these mental gymnastics to be ok with it, I really do. But my favourite TF story of all time (and what I have argue to be THE BEST of all time as well) happens to feature a young Impactor before he became the Impactor we know today and he doesnt look like that either:

Fiction wise, thats the earliest look of Impactor and it doesnt look like that toy either.

Plus who the hell wants a young Impactor when he wasnt a wrecker? That's like making a Batman show where Bruce Wayne is just a kid [-(

To me the FoC headsculpt is great. It works perfectly for the character.

And the BotCon version isn't really an "official" release to me.

War for Cybertron: Siege
Impactor (Deluxe Class, 2019)
ID number: WFC-S42
Accessories: "HP Energon Mineblaster," "Trilithium Drill"
In accordance with his victory in the 2018 War for Cybertron Trilogy Hasbro fan poll, Impactor will have a new figure in Siege, thematically matched up against Mirage. Impactor is styled after his IDW appearance, and transforms into a Cybertronian 4-treaded battle tank and comes with 2 accessories: the HP Energon Mineblaster and Trilithium Drill. He features multiple C.O.M.B.A.T. System weapon ports to attach weapons, enabling custom configurations in bot and vehicle modes. As part of the Siege line, Impactor features battle damage paint applications, specifically above his treads and mine plow.

I disagree, it cant be that high when we already had two official versions of the headsculpt people were hoping to see.

To me the FoC headsculpt is great. It works perfectly for the character.

And the BotCon version isn't really an "official" release to me.

But it’s official to Hasbro.

It already DOES 8-|
War for Cybertron: Siege

Yeah, whoever wrote that was high off their rocker.

What about GOTHAM?
Sorry, but that's really funny or was it meant to be sarcastic?

To be fair, Gotham is more about Commissioner Gordon than about Bruce Wayne. And it’s not that great. Just sayin’.
Back at it again!
