That'd be a great idea, if it werent for the fact you'd have to have read the LotR Trilogy, which I can tell you as someone who has read it, is a horrible stodgey aweful read that never ends.

which only proves you haven't read the books as legolas and gimli have that relationship only in the films!

all i can say is that it's written by a guy whose attitude is made alien by time, as is the language(and in tolkien case his veast and deep understanding of them) and that he was haevily influenced by his exploration of philosophy, religion and mytholgy, so it does read a little like religous texts or mythological.

so yeah it's a bit like giving someone a paper on string theory and expecting them to understand it withought having read any of the backgtound material.

I said I read em. I didnt say I understood em.

it took me over a year (and quite a few other books inbetween) to complete the triology. And to this day I still do no know why I felt I had to read em.

well they're not written as a trilogy, that's basically a publishers artefact since they didn't want to publish a big book they cut it into three.

and you can't really judge a book as anything but "hard to get into" if your reading several books in between...but if you don't like high fantasy then your not going to like them, i don't like period drama's so i couldn't care less about the bronte sisters' works despite them being pardigm of their genre.

Starting one the sametime the other starts. Then they'd be playing the same scenes at the sametime.. atleast until the first commercial break.

I'm on Dailup. Youtube takes about a hour to load for a short 3 minute clip. So no, I didn't click on it.

When I write characters that are meant to be seen as pairs (such as Tsyklon and Vokshod, or more aptly, Noob and Saibot), I like to write their shared history and diverge from that to turn it into two similar pieces, as comparing the two shows where they stand apart, yet creates a similarity between them without the need to expressly write about ever little thing.
