That I agree. Unfortunately, the G1 toy was taken from another company so nothing scaled at the time. It could have been "fixed" for later interpretations though.
Imagine a titan class Astrotrain. Giant freaking bot like Metroplex. Transform into the space shuttle with the fuel tank and rocket boosters. And the train that not only have the engine, but 2 or 3 wagons. This thing if ever made, would be EPIC.
Exactly. Nothing could be done at the time, not that scaling mattered at all with the original toyline in comparison with their cartoon interpretations (Points to Galvatron). But there is no reason for Astrotrain to be under those constraints anymore. Poor Broadside needs a lot more size to make his triple changer status decent, at least.
