i guess no one noticed 7/12s of my boys were not out today,on one of my more active days, guess you all know why now.
i will say ,the math works,it gets costly to reset, but we all needed something to use that Energon stockpile on.
if i was a newer player,i would start a topic in my factions area and ask the higher players to aid in Energon for my new armors,if i was in need of a 100k or more.

Can we seriously get some of those install times reduced?
26 (closer to 27) hours for 10 tonnes of the top armour? That's a little bit ridiculous.

Tell me about it.
I'm gonna experiment with that Nano-stuff with ol' Damocles and see what happens...

Theory is that the best armours should block almost all of the attack, in which case a long/expensive install should be required to take full advantage of that. If it turns out that they aren't as good as we estimated, we'll take a second look at things

in short,NO it is not.
the times are there because if you want that big bad armor, there will be a cost,Energon means little to the higher members in factions, but the time is the true un-dividing factor we all must follow. if you want to crack the armors for the intel on which is better ,it is going to cost you,if you want that next better one,it is going to cost you,if you want to reset,it is going to cost you. doing all at the same time may/does suck, that is why i only did 7 to start with, but that new armor will be well worth it, you have my word on that.

Yes yes yes i'm not some stupid git who just flew in on a passing fart. I'm well aware that if you want the best you have to invest time and money for it.
But I still see no reason for the best armours to take close to, or more than a day to install (other than what was previously stated)
I really can't see why installation times across ALL armours can't be reduced a little.

I like the idea of it taking a long time to install certain armors. As a roleplayer there certain elements that require some realness to it. If those certain elements aren't real for me it blows the whole experience. Realistically those armors should take a long time to install when you factor in removal of old armor and replacing it with new armor, not to mention the customization of the armor (not every bot is just a drone off the assembly line).

This is flat awesome! Hey, are you going to add any more of the ones I suggested some time ago? I saw you added the Trythillium-Steel (I believe that is the one). How about these others since they are directly tied in w/ the TFs:
Durabyllium
Malibdium
Polymer-Steel
Sillenium Steel
Stainless Steel
Titanium
I'm just curious.

i never meant to question you or anyones intelligence with my statement,if i did so in your eyes i am sorry.
in truth, how many times does a average LVL9 or higher reset/add armor in a month? or even better when was the last time you reset Gore,Burn?
i bet it is rare in both accounts.
the times may be high, but odds are if you are at those higher lvls/with the high times /you do not reset or add new armor for a very long time unless you want a new alt, or try a different alt class for a time. being one of the baddest on the block in any class you want, will cost you some time to change into it now,and odds are for most it will be a good while before they reset/add armor again,so 27 hours is a small price when you factor in how many times they will add the new armor, and the last time they did so.
each lvl of armor is worth its time ,and the higher the lvl the longer you will have it,so the higher the time. Rank is not a worthless stat now at any lvl you have it in. each rank stat will cost time for getting the little badder upgrade than before.
everyone, just wait and see how they work out,the install time is nothing when you think of the the time you will have the said armor, before you change it out again, not counting self resets to a different alt class/mode.
I can see the time as being a shocker to those with the higher times. but we just started this, and the higher the rank the longer you have the armor, doing all at one time may suck and seem like forever, but after this shock is over and you see the difference they have over each other they are well worth the wait.

You know, I read this and the first thing that popped into my head was "Scrapper and his brother Macro".
Probably because if I recall, Scrapper was from around that way.

This line keeps bugging me.
I'm reading it two ways.
1 - The higher rank armour you have, the less resetting you do thus you will have it longer.
2 - I look at the new tactics and one of them is suppose to strip you of your armour. So this line could be interpretted as the higher the rank armour you have, the less chance you have of it being stripped. And if your armour is stripped I really hope you don't have to keep going back to installing armour each time because that will be a game killer for many.
And also, what's the purpose of more than one type of armour at each level of rank?
I can only imagine that it's an aesthetic thing as it would make no sense for one armour to be better than another as people would then have a preference and that armour will disappear quickly. Or does one type offer a different sort of protection than the other? Like one protects you against tactic attacks while the other protects you against non-tactic? Not that I expect that to be answered if that were the case. But it'd be nice to know if it's a purely aesthetic thing (which again makes me question the different install times) or there is a difference between each armour on each level of rank.
Yeah, I know. Go and work it out myself.

9 hours for 6 tonnes of a Rank 2 armour does seem somewhat excessive to me.
