So what does everyone enjoy the most about HMW. I mean, for me I would have to say I love to do the math and figure out the intricacies of the game. I also enjoy the competitions are fun and ad a spice of life to the game from time to since it brings out a quiet community and adds a little extra flair.

Killing Decepticons, day in, day out...

I guess it's just seeing the progress, day by day, week by week. Part of it is definitely in the numbers; plus the sense of accomplishment in scoring another kill on a rival, getting that long awaited upgrade, gaining a level, getting an xp high-score, winning against all odds...

I realize that 19/20 people would probably find HMW mind-numbingly dull, and that it's not the game for everyone. I used to have lots of time each day to play PS2 and PS3 games: nowadays I just don't have the time for action-filled games with story lines that take ages to finish. HMW, however, fits in comfortably with my job and private life, and just suits me.

Forum banter is pretty entertaining too.

Hell I actually like it much better than TF: War for Cybertron. Also, now that I've upgraded my system, the 3d graphics are mind blowing. :lol:

It's a good time killer when I have lag time between computer tasks for me. Although since we upgraded I have a lot less time than I used to. Still trying to save up for that 3d card, I hear HMW takes takes gaming to a whole new level once you get upgraded.

For me it has to do with character progression, I don't mean leveling up either. A few of my team's characters have been there since the beginning, and have grown, back stories, persona, temperament just over all character growth. Each time something happens like a tournament or something else with a story I have to envision what sort of changes will take place. I've had a few characters come and go, but that's also the fun of it learning new characters. Plus I like to write.

What really got me into this game was the community and forums. Plus seeing your bots get better and better over time.

So far, experimenting with different stat combos is the most enjoyable part. I agree with it being a good filler for some occasional lag time.

Eventually, I'll probably like making backstories and personas for these characters and maybe sticking them in the RPG side of things as well, but for now it's just basic numbers.

In all seriousness To be honest the big appeal for me over the years has been ..

A)- It was a TF game that didn't require too much of my attention span (god only knows there's not much of that.)
B)- It didn't require lightning fast reflexes to control (Wipeout on the PS3 is reminding me how old I am)
C)- I was able to create a bunch of characters which inspired me to not only kitbash, but to try different things and improve my skills at kitbashing. Shame I still suck at kitbashing.
D)- I was able to bring those characters "to life" through the various tournaments and the various stories I wrote about them. Sadly between writers block and the short attention span, I don't seem too enthused about writing anymore.

plus the OCD me and "not-ros" have about constantly murdering each others troops.

really i feel "obligated" to keep playing. every day i dont play there less generated overall

It's nice to see I'm not the only old man who's reflexes have slowed to the point of making Wipeout on the PS3 hard.

the bastard one is Sebenco Climb hate it too tight and twisty thou it could be i'm outta practice usually on MAG trying to nick vehciles or grab objectives.
