I'm starting to see RID Warrior class and CW Deluxe class going for $19.99 usd at a few TRUs I visit while on the road. That's a little ouchy in my book.
Those size classes still run $15-16 at Walmarts and Targets. I think its just a TRU thing here. I got sticker shock when I pulled one off the shelf and then saw the tag. My singed little fingers put it right back where I found it too.william-james88 wrote:carytheone wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:william-james88 wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:Might buy that Optimus for my "Keep sealed on card" collection.

There is a big difference:
Warriors at Canadian retail are 19.99 = 15.70 $ US
Your 19.99$ = 25.45$ cdn. 1$ canadian in canada will still get you as far as 1$ US in the states, but I just wanted to show how that price increase in the states is far worse than the prices we see at canadian retail. I think that extra 2$, Kanrabat, is due to the exchange which has only worsened.

Totally agree with you. Any news on a price yet?
Oh yeah, its Takara leader price. Everyting is in the Takara TAV thread. Sadly, the toy is already sold out from the japanese importer.
Sadface. That's okay. I don't need another Optimus Prime. I could do with a modern update of God Ginrai, but as far as Optimus is concerned, my Robot Masters Convoy is my absolute favourite G1 Prime.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Damn ridiculous why are prices increasing yet payment isn't?
I'm poor enough as it is

At least these ones are actually based on something from the show, instead of being toy-only deals like the black Bumblebee redeco and the G1-esque Grimlock redeco.Shuttershock wrote:All these damn repaints and still only ONE Warrior class Decepticon.

His transformation is unique to him in the One-Step and 3-Step department, however it's not unique overall:

That is INSANE! That's more than what they cost in Quebec with tax. I really fear your prices coming our way.

Replace "Hasbro" with "Toy Stores", and you're dead on. It's the stores themselves that determine prices depending on competition (Toys "R" Us is notorious for their high prices), why do you think we have "MSRP", or Mean (meaning "average"), Suggested, Retail Price? Some stores have higher, some lower.
Hasbro is the main supplier of stock, thus earns its money (and determines overall sales reports) from the stores ordering, while the stores earn their money from us buying that stock.
