The problem is with TRU no longer an option you dont have a dedicated place for Lego anymore. The Lego store will always have it full price so as to not undercut the retailers and I never see these sets at Walmart. So the only options will be online but there arent lots of specials there. My guess will be the best price will be one year later when bought directly from Lego at about 15-20% off.

I think the better question is how fast will it sell out? Joking aside, I do feel this is the sorta thing that will be a perfect storm of low production and rabid Voltron/Lego fans. Might wanna get your F5 finger warmed up.nycPrime wrote:What are the odds of Lego Voltron selling out?

And yes, its a KO. I have bought Lepin before, the only part where they suck are with paint on the minifigs and firing projectiles. So I am guessing this one should be fine.
william-james88 wrote:But then again rememebr that Lego Ideas is not a Lego Design either, thats the whole point of that subline. They did not pay a designer to come up with it. All Lego did was deal with the licensing.
So we have a set of non patented construction bricks for a set not designed by Lego. Pretty fuzzy.

Projects selected in the LEGO Review go into production. You give input to our professional LEGO designers, whose job it is to create the final set based on your project. Once complete, it goes to the factory, then it’s shipped around the world and released for sale. You’re featured in set materials, receive a royalty on sales, and are recognized as the product creator. Your supporters can now own the LEGO set they helped make happen on LEGO Ideas.
