Went to the East Bay this weekend and checked out several Walmarts I've not been to in years. There's been no sign of these anywhere within a hundred miles of me, I'm pretty sure.

Yeah, the Wave 1 Velocitron toys sat unsold on the pegs in excess for the longest time, and now it feels like Walmart finally cleared them out to make room for the ROTB mainline toys, only for those toys to continue sitting unsold on the pegs in excess, leaving no room left for the Toxitron Collection.

Hmmm... I've always been told thaet each sub-line has its own space. I keep getting told by others (for instance) that an abundance of Buzzworthy Product at Target ISN'T the reason they have very little standard Gen Legacy because it's supposed to be on seperate pegs/shelf space. Of course I've always felt differently, but I'm always told I'm wrong so... :???:

If getting Toxitron at Walmart is dependant on clearing out enough space from RoTB product, then that's never going to happen...at least in my area, that merch isn't moving and there's so much of it.

Yeah, it's a two part problem. They have to both be willing to carry them and actually clear the space to do so. My local Walmarts never got their exclusive 35th Anniversary line despite peg warming in other states. I've also never seen any of the G1 retro repaints except for Starscream in stores. Looking at the G2 Grimlock listing on Walmart.com and trying different zip codes from around the state tells me these are simply not available in my state yet.

The Walmart I frequent most still has the ROTB aisle displays out and for the most part have been keeping all of the figures there so there's definitely space on the shelves.

I finished the Toxitron collection today. Grimlock looks so good in hand. I love this a lot, the whole line ended up being a banger!

Got Grimlock the other day. I love him, even without stripes up the whole body. His yellow is so delightfully lurid but tempered in Bot mode. He's a delight.

I'm presently standing in my local Walmart (particularly one that is notoriously slow to get new product on the shelves) and to my other surprise, I am seeing the Toxitron Collection Voyager Cloudcover, Leader Toxitron, and Deluxe Laser Cycle toys right in front of me. None of the others, though, but seeing any of them here right now is quite shocking to me, considering how much space is being taken out by all of the other TF lines currently available at this Walmart right now.

Totally agree, he should have been done at least in Selects a long time ago. It's weird they did Ramjet and not Starscream first.

Not that weird when you think about it, the changes from the G1 version were minimal, lighter colors aside:
- grey wings instead of (off-)white
- grey tail fins instead of blue
- blue canopy instead of dark grey

Compared to that G2 Ramjet was much more distinct. I do wonder however... The other two unreleased decos, Blackout and "Jungle Attack Starscream", plus the ATB redeco all had black as their main color, not to mention MW Starscream was black as well. How would they tackle them?

Not as distinct as the differences between G1 and G2 Ramjet, but side by side the two Starscreams are quite different.

And since the Earthrise figure uses such bright colors the differences between the bright red and blue with the pink and gray (and purple) will stand out more.

As I have really enjoyed this line, and as I also really like the selects Sandstorm from a few years ago, I finally ordered G2 Ramjet last night to complete the trio of G2 coneheads.

Only Toxitron himself is available on Walmart.com, and Pulse is sold out of all of them save the motorcycle one, all the good ones sold out anyway before the Premium paywall went down.

At my local store they're putting everything on the shelves.

Deluxes are going in that empty space next to Leader Galvatron, Voyagers are directly under that. No space for Leaders yet.

Until a few days ago those tags weren't there and nothing has really changed, that's my point. They don't need to sell ROTB figures to make room, they'll just push things aside and squeeze them in like they're planning to do with the Deluxes and Cloudcover.
