Oh great. I still haven't been able to find Sideswipe or Dead End and I've been searching 4 Walmarts regularly. Not sure why they never got them in. If it's all going on clearance with no hope of anything new coming, I guess I'm not getting them. Ugh!

It has nothing to do with how well they sell or not. Yeah the deluxe are selling very well. But Walmart is idiotic when it comes these items. They'll agree to take something then change their minds for "reasons" and just clearance it out to get rid of it ( Siege Jetfire as just one example) was placed on clearance a little over a month after it's release, despite selling very well.
I guess after the Legacy Beast wave, and Velocitron sitting for months they thought Toxitron might do the same? To be fair it probably would eventually. If each store got in 3 or 4 more cases of deluxes....Sure all the Dead End and Sideswipes would sell right away, but after the initial excitement died down...pegs would probably be clogged with Nacho Jazz, Mirage, and Laser Cycle.
In my area at least, yeah the deluxes are selling well, but cloudcover, Grimlock and Toxitron are all very easy to find.
Oddly enough with Velocitron. The 2 voyagers went on clearance as did the deluxes. But I only ever saw Black Convoy... maybe twice? Stores in my area didn't get much. Now it's the opposite. Tons of leaders everywhere and very little deluxes.

I just walked out of my nearest Walmart with a G2 Dead End. They had every G2 Deluxe. One Dead End, one Sideswipe, one Mirage, two of Jazz, and two Laser Cycles.

I nabbed G2 Sideswipe on a whim. The Wallmart in my area just had all the deluxes, but he was the only one I really wanted if I ever saw him in person. The colors are just so gloriously loud!

That's one I somewhat had my eye, along with Gator Mirage and Laser Cycle Jazz. I wonder if in G2 he was actually meant as Sidewipe, the colors and the detailing point to Sunstreaker instead. Had they lost the mold already back then?

Weird, one of my local Walmarts JUST stocked the Toxitron line for the first time. I still haven't seen Leaders at retail. This store never had tags up before so I wonder if these are being brought back to stores to fill space until the Star Raider line comes in. My other local store still has a bunch of these in stock, they never put them on clearance.

Cloudcover was a figure that was sort of lost in the shuffle of the line, but looking back on him with fresh eyes, I adore this paint scheme. He and Sandstorm are both really nice figures. I adore the color schemes
