They do it because it's a convenient way to show a figure's range of motion and instantly recognizable making it easy to tell if its being done right.

Forget it. Hasbro has made it abundantly clear that the old shaterred glass designs are dead and will not be revisited even if we have modern toys that look like this.
So much like the packages not having plastic windows that have plastic windows, still a chance then?bummer

You can choose to hope and be met by constant dissapointment if that's what you preffer. I won't tell you what to do, I'm just telling you what's going to happen.

Quicker than you realise, you'll be middle-aged.
G1 in the 1980's was my childhood.
The "recent" Brony craze was 10 freaking years ago.
Lo and behold, next I'll blink and I'll suddenly be 95, hooked to a respirator.

If the brand survive this long.
Still, how transformers toys will be in 50 years?

I'd rather not think about that

Considering that the leakers first mentioned this Velocitron stuff back in late August, confirmed Override as a Hot Rod retool in early September, and then later admitted that all of their info on the line was from pitch meetings/internal Hasbro dialogue and image usage and that none of them had actually seen the figures yet, I would assume that Override from Hot Rod was planned by Hasbro, leakers found that plan and relayed it to the Internet, and then at some point in 7-8 months that have passed since then, the plan just...changed. This also explains the "which Blurr is it" confusion.ZeroWolf wrote:I'm curious as to where the leakers got the info about her being a retool of Hot Rod when on first glance (and because of how her head is behind the canopy) I mistakenly thought she was an elita-1 retool.
Nemesis Primal wrote:Also this can't be an Elita retool, since Elita's alt mode "visible head" is a faux part.
Burn wrote:Galaxy Prime was terrible compared to the original Cybertron Prime and you know it.
Overcracker wrote:With the addition of Override / Nitro Convoy that means we are basically only 2 convoys away from getting the 5 Galaxy Force Convoys updated.
Galaxy Convoy - Siege Cybertron Prime
Megalo Convoy - Legacy Metroplex
Nitro Convoy - Velocitron Override
Flame Convoy - Possible repaint / retool of upcoming dragon Megatron?
Live Convoy - ??? (new mold?)
Sabrblade wrote:Upon comparing the new Override to the original toy, the new one's altmode does look a LOT worse, while the robot mode is much more show-accurately-proportioned, making it also slightly more feminine in its more slender physique, compared to the original toy's very WIDE torso:

Forget it. Hasbro has made it abundantly clear that the old shaterred glass designs are dead and will not be revisited even if we have modern toys that look like this. Instead all shaterred glass toys from here on out relate to the characters as they appear in their original G1 bodies but with the shaterred glass colours.
And in some cases that makes these designs have a dual purpose since a few shaterred glass colour schemes were homaging variant colour schemes of older molds/toys.

She said it all in that gif, Maybe I am just old and cynical about stupid crap like that.
The new one is certainly less sleek and less aerodynamic for what's supposed to be a high-speed racing road vehicle, what with its more bulbous and more stumpy front end.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I'm surprised people are disliking the alt mode so much. Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.
Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

Looks fantastic. The light piping looks great. Still don't understand why they chose to paint over it on the Laser Prime version.
I wonder if there's anyway to remove the paint from the back up Laser Prime's head to re-enable the light piping.
