Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

The inside of the trailer looks pretty bad with all of those peg holes, and both the cannon and the underside tray are pieces of filler.

Hmm, no. A defining characteristic of the character and the original toy does not qualify as filler. That would be like saying Roller is filler, or Soundwave's cassettes are filler.
The drawer or tray under the trailer is very much filler, and plastic usage to justify the price.

I'd say it's highly debatable if this cannon is a "defining characteristic" of this character.
Sure, it may have been a major part of the original toy, but it's a decent amount of plastic for what it is... It's not even that articulated.
Not to mention, comparing a lifeless weapon to any of Soundwave's cassettes is a ridiculous stretch.
That's not even the same sport, let alone the same ballpark.

For Rodimus Prime, I'm pretty damned happy to see that for once, he's COMPLETE and AFFORDABLE compared to the old MP option or getting a cheap version that needs 200$ of upgrades.
Anyone who wants their toys cheap and barebone, good for them. Just skip the "premium" versions. I'd rather pay 20$ more from the start for perfection than having to pay 200$ later for some exclusive that I have to import or third party upgrades.

No need to buy an extra Pulse exclusive set. Which is not exactly easy for those of us not in the U.S.

Nemesis Reformatted wrote:To be honest, Earthrise Optimus wasn't even worth completing. That trailer is a complete joke & definitely scaled more for Huffer or a Legends class. If you want a real Optimus Prime to fit in your CHUG collection, get the KBB MP-10v & the trailer to go with it.

Exactly my point.
Once pimped out, my ER Optimus trailer is perfect, but I shouldn't have to go through that gauntlet.

Maybe not Soundwave's minions, Burt surely his shoulder battery gun would be the equivalent.
Sowndwave76 wrote:trailer is truly $40 worth of plastic, materials, design, and engineering... Fine.
But it sure doesn't LOOK like $40 worth.
o.supreme wrote:As for parts, price, are they worth it? The debate I don't think will ever end, especially as prices continue to rise. I'm glad to have picked up ER Prime for about $40, because that is what I think it was worth. Additionally, I don't think CC Rodimus is worth more than $60, but we will see.
o.supreme wrote:Getting CC Rodimus on sale is no guaranty, even though I don't personally think it is worth it. A Great $50-$60 toy, not $80 is all I am saying.
Sowndwave76 wrote:No one sees Rodimus Prime without the trailer cannon and thinks, "Man, someone screwed up this image... I mean it pretty much looks like RP, but where's the trailer cannon???!?!?
Nemesis Reformatted wrote:Well, for the past couple months all I've been seein are people wishing for Artfire & Blaster. Congratulations! You're getting what you wanted.
As for me? I guess I'll just sit here & wait another freakin decade to see if they'll ever make what I want. RANSACK, BARRAGE, VENOM, CHOP SHOP, SQUEEZEPLAY, FANGRY, HORRI-BULL & SLAPDASH.
Year after year after year. Reveal after reveal. And still Nothin!!!
I guess I'll just sit here & play with my Titan Master heads of SQUEEZEPLAY, FANGRY, HORRI-BULL & wish they had bodies. Thanks Hasbro! Make the character's head but not it's body. That's always fun. GOOD THINKIN!
