Why does it's packaging look like a mix of Kingdom and Bumblebee movie stuff with the Cyberverse/Evergreen head design? That's such a weird combination.

Well, people were asking and speculating about Bee's presence on the Kingdom poster, so I guess here he is. Definitely not for me though.

Yeah, I didn't feel like actually recalling the line. I've got brain fog today.

Also, I guess I didn't 100% mean it. I kind of want the Spike, but knowing Daniel is in the offing it's going to come down to a choice as to what would get displayed. I imagine it won't be too long before we start seeing Slag stolen toy reviews, so we'll just have to see.

Probably not, SS starts at the Deluxe size class. The only viable way to design something that small for SS would be to put it together with another figure. But more that that, Bee really wasn't a major player at all in TFTM, so making a SS86 figure for him doesn't make much sense and this one is horribly inaccurate to the on screen appearance which is SS whole thing.

More likely this is something they wanted to do for the new core class but didn't have a great fit for it anywhere.

Except your logic for why this isn't tracks perfectly for why it could be. This looks like the same size Bee as Titans Retirn, that means this is a $10 figure that includes an additional blaster and a crude but Transformable Exosuit that I am bettong is roughly the same size as a Human Alliance Figure. That puts it close enough in the budget range for a $20 pricepoint which is exactly the Deluxe class Cost Studio Series would be wanting.

Disclaimer: I don't think this is either because the Bee asthetic is all wrong and the packaging does not match. I am betting Target Exclusive. Maybe the game store guys

tbf some of the ss86 stuff isnt accurate, kinda digging the penny racer alt mode -it would just be better as a different character.

That's Bumblejumper.

Give me a Cliffjumper repaint with a new head and you get my money. But unless in deep discount live at a brick and mortar store, this is going to be a hard pass for me.

So we have some kingdom box art with Bumblebee movie packaging, a picture of the evergreen version on the front, and a G1-inspired figure.

Definitely some strange packaging xD

Anyway, this is kinda neat. I might pick it up.

To add to the confusion about what line this was meant for, the font on "Buzzworthy Bumblebee" is the same one as used in the Bumblebee movie.

Here is a quick size comparison to Core Optimus using the 3mm hand ports as a size reference. He's a little big, but probably as close as we can expect to relative scale at this small a size.

I think the figure is miss-transformed in the promo pic, again. There are panels that I think fold all the way back and I hope there's more to the arms. What really bugs me (get it?) is the handle of the blaster looks bent in the packaging so Bee looks funny holding it.

After seeing this weird Bee and the leaks, I dont think there will be a Goldbug figure soon. Basically the last few years I have updated, or gotten for the first time, my ideal head canon G1 season 4/Headmaster + line-up. Along with my older Classics, 4 or 5 3rd party and such figures. I only have a few left, after Kingdom and SS86, that I need. One of the big ones is Goldbug(also a good Alpha Trion) and I thought this new Netflix Bee would be perfect for a Selects Goldbug repaint(and new head). I still have a small bit of hope they will, at least a 3rd party or Shapeways Goldbug head for Netflix Bee maybe.

Yeah, of all the strange things about this release that Authentics Bee head shot on the front is the strangest. That makes me think this is intended to be sold at discount stores like Big Lots and Dollar General since it takes from so many different lines and probably wont be sold at any standard price point.

As far as how this figure came about, it was probably intended to be part of Kingdom, but just like the SS86 line it probably got bumped from Kingdom to give us Rattrap and Vertebreak in wave 1.

It's not a great figure and the design is probably the way it is for the same reason that Deluxe Bumblebee wasn't ready in time for Kingdom, VW took too long to approve it. This was probably going to be their fallback figure to get a Bumblebee into the series, but in the end neither made it in.

However, it's still a WfC figure which means I need to track one down to complete it. Hope he isn't hard to get and exclusive to third world countries or something. Man, if this is a Universal theme park exclusive I'm going to be very angry.
