Badass as that looks, I might just have to snatch this set once it goes on total blowout clearance on BBTS, but for now, only TFC and MMC for me.

Easier said than done since UT has officially stated that once these guys are out of the factory that'll be it for stock. Apparently there are no more War Hawk figures coming out as far as reissues go so, what's out on the market now, and for future releases, is all there is expected to be.
Just saying, better jump on them now while you have the chance.
Either way, this is a nice looking set of figures, but as it has been said so many times before... UT's main obstacle in this sets sale was MMC's offerings. If not for MMC this would have been one hell of a hot item.

NOS wrote:Good point and fair enough assessments. I just get all shaky when I hear "limited stock" or similar statements. I know I've been in that position before when I waited too long to pick up the add on for FPs City Commander (the one with the shoulders and the extra gun) and I have been kicking myself ever since.

It's a combiner in the league of a Hasbro release pulled off on it's BEST day in the Generations line. It would be a strong seller at retail stores.
It's honestly a fantastic looking Predaking when combined.

I quite agree. $12 deluxes with the one $20 voyager, and I would have been all over this like [pick your favorite analogy here]. Nearly $100 a figure (okay, I have to give them props for dropping the price) and this pales in comparison to TFC and MMC, who are just slightly more expensive (if I remember correctly) but full of so much more awesome!

So, you'd rather have the FOC Bruticus compared to WarLord Beasticon? The former already has some add-ons in the works as well as a 3rd party Voyager sized core replacement for Onslaught...

Agamemnon wrote:All I'm saying is that if UT's set came out from Hasbro (or even UT) at $12 a pop ($20 for the Voyager) I'd have been all over it. It's a cost/value thing. UT's current price model (which is understandable from a small third party company as compared to Hasbro) is far too expensive, especially when comparing to the only slightly more expensive MMC and TFC versions. There's not enough value for UT.
