I'm still stoked with the combined look and the extra bits and bobs don't offend me in the least or retract from my perception of the fig.

With that being said.....i wouldn't want to spend anymore than 200-300 (leaning heavily on the 200 mark) on this release. The quality just isn't there but it is certainly pretty to look at. I like the original set up as it is anyways so this add on kit is of no interest to me.

It all depends on how intense you want your Predaking to look like. These guys are giving you an option. As far as i can see it anyways.
No big deal.

This isn't an add-on kit, all these pieces come with their Razorclaw analog... and you need them to get the set to look like a Predaking.

Cool action poses... Thanks to RK. ;)

Also

Here are some paint job that is planned to be added:

1. The exhaust pipe on back side of the wings will be painted same as the front side.

2. Silver paint on shoulder cannon middle section.

3. Paint job will be applied on the front arm of Sharpclaw.

4. exhaust pipe on both sides of the WarLord head will be painted.

5. Lion teeth will be painted with silver colour.

6. The Lion Claw will be painted in gold colour.

Please be noted that these are not confirmed yet.
UT states that they are not sure whether these will all be applied.
But they are trying their best.

Also note that the Gestalt's waist armor nullifies the waist articulation. :(

It doesn't look bad all together. It's very lean and streamlined, just like in the g1 cartoon. It's just the individual beast modes look too much like kids toys rather than killer robotic beasts. But I don't call that being slavish to G1. I call that lack of detail and innovation. Also I flat out don't like "cheating" with wing extensions for Divebomb in gestalt mode. MMC didn't need to cheat to pull off the right look.

I love how sleek this looks in Predaking mode. UniqueToys,Hands down,Created the best lower legs for Predaking. as they look the most G-1 & Have no kibble.

Sadly like most,I also dislike all the individual figures. as they look to overly simplified in sculpt & quality. I really dis-like the lion mane UT created,it's just super ugly.

Yeah,The Predaking feet, fist & wings looks great. Sadly all of this is to extreme oversized for the individual bots & for Predaking. It literally looks like the individual bots & predaking are swimming in all the extreme oversized predaking combiner parts.

I agree with others, more time was needed in order to make this a better product. I personally,Would have reduced the Predaking combiner parts a bit. Revamped the lion mane to make it look more pretty. revamped divebombs wings to make them bigger, instead of creating a extra set of huge wings. perhaps revamp the predaking skirt to not cancel out the waist articulation on Predaking.

This UT Predaking looks like there were too many cooks in the kitchen. that all contributed something to the toy but did a bad job Collaboration with each other. This also looks like UT was trying to score points with bling & hugeness but didn't care how the final product would get ruined as a result.

I trully think the MMC Predaking version is the best of them all. If only there is a way to take UT Predaking's lower legs & put them on MMC's Predaking, this would result in perfection.

I'm guessing the wings take up a lot of space.

Ya, there's all that extra kibble. Is the sword modular? Might need space for it's length.

WarLeo/Sharpclaw's box is huge because of the Gestalt components, specifically the wings..

Just in case you didn't now, for Unique Toys' Warlord, you can attach Warhawk's wings on to the combiner's main wings... Check it out. Pics c/o nihilist98 of TFW2005.

I'm having a real hard time deciding if i want to pull the trigger on this fig. I just really like the proportions and the aesthetic of that combined mode. I like it better than MMC to be honest.

I definitely get what you are saying, and the overall figure looks great, especially when compared to the G1 animation model.

It's just the lack of quality in UT, the "neo" of the Classics/Generations look in MMC, and the awesomeness of playing with Bovis that has me sold. I like the look of this combined mode, but not enough to overtake my opinions of MMC in other areas.

Am I the only one who has both sets? Because I haven't seen anybody else talk about just how awesome these two look together. I would army build Savage bulls if it weren't impractical and gosh darn expensive

Predaking looks pretty nice. Not sure I'm digging the individuals. I suppose it's another case like Giant/Hercules, although I think this time that the MMC version has a lot more playability. If money was no object but I could only get one set theirs would be it.
