Henry921 wrote:As for the scale issues mentioned, looking at the scale chart, I think we can find a few figures that might work with them, where their own scales are in dispute.
Specifically, I think we can give them TW-Orion as close to their scale, along with otherwise out-of-scale MP Grimlock, and apparently the iGear Raptor squadron are a good fit. Maybe a few of the taller deluxe figures, like RTS Jazz, and add-on figures like Fansproject City Commander.
Instead of trying to view them as "Masterpiece" scale, we should think of what figures in multiple lines/companies they work with. I see a lot of possibility already.

Are you suggesting we could either split a Classics collection based purely on size, or create a secondary plus sized Classics collection? Either way, I can't see myself altering my collection specifically to suit this oversized upstart.
The price of these figures is amazing. Call me a cynical asshole, but there's got to be a catch somewhere. The robot modes look great, as do most of the vehicle modes. Vortex's chopper form looks like a caricature. Bruticus is the biggest oddball. Logic tells me it's a good looking representation of the character, but something is off and I can't seem to get past it.
Henry921 wrote:I'm suggesting a few figures already out of scale with their own lines(such as MP Grimlock) could be much closer to in-scale with these Combaticons. And 3rd party figures like iGear Raptors and TW-Orion seem like they'd match up fairly well.

True, but the design is still tempting.
I think we should view these as being Classics scale, not the Combaticons but the Bruticus. The gestalts are often portrait as being freaking huge in combined mode, especially in the comics.
So this Bruticus would work pretty well for those who want to replicate those scenes.

I dunno, maybe they aren't going to disassemble it? Maybe everything is attached such that it cannot be separated into individual bots/vehicles?

Even if it's a giant action master, the grey paint defies all logic.
