Specifically, I think we can give them TW-Orion as close to their scale, along with otherwise out-of-scale MP Grimlock, and apparently the iGear Raptor squadron are a good fit. Maybe a few of the taller deluxe figures, like RTS Jazz, and add-on figures like Fansproject City Commander.

Instead of trying to view them as "Masterpiece" scale, we should think of what figures in multiple lines/companies they work with. I see a lot of possibility already.

Are you suggesting we could either split a Classics collection based purely on size, or create a secondary plus sized Classics collection? Either way, I can't see myself altering my collection specifically to suit this oversized upstart.

The price of these figures is amazing. Call me a cynical asshole, but there's got to be a catch somewhere. The robot modes look great, as do most of the vehicle modes. Vortex's chopper form looks like a caricature. Bruticus is the biggest oddball. Logic tells me it's a good looking representation of the character, but something is off and I can't seem to get past it.

I'm suggesting a few figures already out of scale with their own lines(such as MP Grimlock) could be much closer to in-scale with these Combaticons. And 3rd party figures like iGear Raptors and TW-Orion seem like they'd match up fairly well.

No I get that, but to me that means having a secondary Classics collection. Or creating a one-off diorama of random figures. That sounds like an expensive option.

Even if it was the right height, it still wouldn't fit because it isn't show accurate.

True, but the design is still tempting.

I think we should view these as being Classics scale, not the Combaticons but the Bruticus. The gestalts are often portrait as being freaking huge in combined mode, especially in the comics.
So this Bruticus would work pretty well for those who want to replicate those scenes.

Bingo, that's why I want the gestalts bigger right there. In the cartoons, their combined forms were usually frickin' HUGE. Much bigger than the sum of the parts. It was inexplicable and just more "mass shifting", but it was there almost constantly. Since I keep them in combined mode, that's why I want them big.

As I said before, I mix things up wildly with most of my collection, but for me, combiners should be BIG.

Omega's turrets on the top of the feet too. I hope this isn't how they are going to do Warbotron...

[Edit] And, yes, looking at the original prototype pictures, they are definitely different!

If it's a custom, why did they paint it grey ? If it's primer, who in their right mind would assemble it, take grey pics, then disassemble it again for painting ?

I dunno, maybe they aren't going to disassemble it? Maybe everything is attached such that it cannot be separated into individual bots/vehicles?

Even if it's a giant action master, the grey paint defies all logic.

I think it's primer. Either way, it is obvious that this is not the third party combiner being shown in this thread. It is indeed a custom created from existing figures. The chest alone makes that obvious.

I don't feel the need to get these. As I am Happy with the Energon Rotf Bruticus with the FP Swindle & Blastoff. I will also admit these are pretty great & the price is low.

Looks really awesome. Sucks that its so big though. I dont see die hard MP scale fans buying these because they are not cartoon accurate. They are neo so they should have been scaled with the neo classics line. Maybe the KO guys that normally upsize figures can downsize these. That would be an instant buy for me.
