Warbotron WB01- Bruticus

Do you love your new Hercules set? Can't get enough of FansProject's items? Upset that you bought a knock off when you thought you were getting an original? Use this forum to tell everyone your thoughts about unlicensed and knock off TF products.

I guess the "significantly" is a matter of opinion, and of course you can display them in any collection you like, but I maintain the scale is not really in line with HasTak Masterpieces. For that to be true, each Combaticon would need to be roughly 9" in height.

The limbs would each have to be as tall as Starscream to be in the Masterpiece scale.

You mean the limbs in robot mode, right?

The limbs, as arms and legs, are roughly Screamer's height.

No, the bots that turn into limbs, like Swindle and co, to me they're not characters they're just body parts.

I guess the "significantly" is a matter of opinion, and of course you can display them in any collection you like, but I maintain the scale is not really in line with HasTak Masterpieces. For that to be true, each Combaticon would need to be roughly 9" in height.

And I also saw the pictures with Masterpiece Countaches (that might be the first time I have ever used Countach as a plural...) that can easily allow people to conclude that these are appropriate to MP. I'm not saying that you have to. I'm only saying that people could easily do so. Is alt mode more important to scale? (Hence the direction after MP-10.) Or is cartoon accurate height more appropriate? If Alt Mode is, then where's that pic of an accurate scaled Bruticus based on the alt modes? That's hilarious.

Fantastic figures! Really impressive. Too big to my taste, though. Guess I will still stick with my FP Bruticus upgrade.

So, Vortex's chest window is fake? Otherwise how can it be so flat like that according to the alt mode.

Yea, that's the weird thing, I mean if it's fake, why have it in the first place, they could have given him a cartoon accurate chest instead.

We're not using it for scale, we're using it to poke fun at those who want the alt-modes to scale realistically.

Nope. As nice as these are, they're simply far too big for what I'd want to use them for. I will be passing on these.

Compared with this one that was posted earlier I'm stating to wonder just how big he is :-?
bgscale.jpg

If he is the same height as Uranus or half a head taller then he is a great size. A full head or more then he is getting way to big.

We won't really know just how big he truly is until someone actually has him in and. Remember all the comparisons people made of Giant and Hercules based on comparisons with other toys?
Depending on who made it Giant was either exactly the same height as Hercules, just a teeny bit shorter, or about half his size.

these comparisons until now are nice, and give us a hint at how large he might actually be, but ultimately not factual.

It's nuts how each new combiner has to be a head taller than the previous one. I can't be the only one kinda annoyed at this. No matter which line you follow (TFC height or FP height) it makes trying to collect everyone in about the same size kinda frustrating.

^^^This is why I pray HasTak will make MP Devastator, heralding a new, glorious and expensive eraof MP combiners. :x

I don't see any reason at all for there to be any combiner "scale" given the wide variety of alt-modes we're talking about with each group. I just want a bunch of big bad combiners, that's all. I don't really care how they scale with one another. I'm just happy that they aren't doing these to scale with Energon like some of them have in the past (FP/Maketoys) because scout size was too small for my tastes for any of them.
