Supreme Convoy wrote:I recently finished Max Brook's World War Z, the follow up to The Zombie Survival Guide. The Survival Guide is fun but World War Z takes zombie fiction to another level. It's a fictional oral history of a massive zombie war. The first third is the initial outbreak, which we've all seen in zombie movies. The second third is living & fighting in this zombie apocalypse, which is territory that we somewhat see in The Walking Dead. The final breathtaking third is the remaining humans uniting and fighting the zombies all over the world.
What I love about it is that it takes real world scenario and dumps the undead on them. What happens to North Korea, the conflict between Palestine & Israel, or developing countries. It covers everything from politics and social issues. Well done.

And on the subject of the undead, also now have the Zombie Survival guide to kill time with.

Ah, the trials and tribulations of the venerable Captain Uriel Ventris! Awesome stuff. Hurry up and read, cause' next in the series is "The Killing Ground", followed by "Courage and Honor". I believe that yet another Ultramarines title has surfaced in hardcover as well.
I finished WH40K Fallen Angels and started on Warriors: Omen of the Stars-"The fourth apprentice" since it FINALLY came out in paperback. And Winds of Dune sits patiently on my shelf waiting for me to finish.
