Don't own one and don't really plan to get one, but I have to say 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime.

Beast Wars Transmetal Megatron.
Not the transmetal 2 dragon, he looked cool in the show, but the toy was balls... The shiny rollerblading flying rex. You can't get much cooler than a chromed Tyrannosaurus with fan jets and rollerblades. The best.

IMO...well,not the best,really.but Energon WIngsaber should be given some sort of recognition.Perfect bot-like figure.forget full articulation,he's like the best representation of a 'sophisticated robot'

The best... that's hard to say, considering the rather small size of my own collection... but here are my top 2:

1) Masterpiece Optimus. The most iconic TF ever, represented in near-perfect detail. I only wish he'd come with that fancy trailer from the outset.

2) Alternators Hound. I love the Alternators line, and Hound is arguably my favorite, since he stays very accurate to his G1 incarnation, and he also stands up very well for display purposes with those big feet!

It's a tough call, but to pick just one, I think I have to go with MP Prime.

It is just such a perfect representation of the character from the show. Fun transform, solid feel. Just an awesome incarnation of a great character.

Other contenders
G1 Soundwave - Simple, but satisfying transform, good articulation, Weapons as part of the transform, cassette gimmick.

G1 Shockwave - Another simple but satisfying transform, with good artic, Lights & sounds and just a damn cool looking character

MP Grimlock - Would have won my top spot if he was only scaled larger (Still sad about that)

RID Megatron/Galvatron - straight up one of the most fun TFs ever made

Cybertron Optimus - While not as classic a look as his G1 incarnation, this is just a toy with A LOT of play value.

TFA Prowl - Such a clever transform! Loads of articulation, and dead on show accuracy. As a fan of the show and the line, He is my clear favorite.

RotF Leader Prime - Another feat of engineering. Actually making a toy that has a lot of the intricacy of the complex transforms of the movie-verse, AND adding a combiner feature.

Much of the Classics line. There is a lot of WIN in there. Alts and MP brought me back to TF collecting, but the Classics line is keeping me.

Powermaster Prime. A true breeze-block of a transformer, but great looking and how they should have brought him back in Return of Optimus Prime.

The TRU re-issue with God Bomber is my favourite figure in my modest collection.

Cybertron Scourge. I love the alt mode. Dragons are great. I really appreciate the details, and I love the multiple heads. The robot mode looks extremely menacing, and intimidating. The transformation is simple (which I like), its durable, and its the best. to me. right now.
