A lot of people are fans of the Dinobots, specifically Grimlock. However, in the movie, they were treated as much less threatening characters rather than the "We're gonna go smash everything kthxbai" they were in the first two seasons.

Well I have not actually seen Revenge of the Fallen, but I am happy those dinobots are not in it. I don't even think 15 people on here would actual come one here and admit they were big dinobot fans. You seem to be the first person I ever seen that was a fan of those things. Do you think Revenge of the Fallen will be better than the 2007 film? Honestly from what you have seen?

Oh you'd be surprised. Grimlock was popular because he often shrugged off Prime's orders to do his own thing, which often involved property damage. He was much more badass than Ironhide.

1986 was animated, but it was the definite classic. Optimus Prime's original designs. The original crew including more added ones. And they didn't need to explain much.

Agreed on those 2. My vote: '86.

You would be surprised, but dinobot fans are not fans of the cartoon dinobots either; the marvel comic version of them (and any version since then under the hands of Simon Furman) were much better - the cartoon depicted the dinobots as they would have the brain of dinosaurs, but the comics depicted them as a commando team.

So, the rank by me:

1. Movie '86

2. RotF (if there will be less bad jokes than in the 07 Movie and less plotholes)

3. TFTM 2007

4. Beast Wars 2 movie

The 2009 will be the worst ever, my point will be proven in about 3 weeks, no one will be able to dispute the fact that the movies keep getting worse as more are made. I am going to watch the 2007 film today and see if I can find some classic moments.

As for the Dinobots, you can count me as one of the fans, very happy BAY is not using them though because the Dinobots would end up being Sharkticons or Dragonbots. Not a good idea.

My name is Rodimus Prime, and I am a Dinobot fan.
More of the comics Dinobots than the cartoon, but a Dinobot is a Dinobot, you take the bad with the good.

Do you think Revenge of the Fallen will be better than the 2007 film? Honestly from what you have seen?

Absolutely. As bad as it was, it's not hard to improve on it, story-wise, anyway. The action will be better too, because there will be more bot and fight, and less people and talking.

You seem very confident about there being more bots, I hope you correct. I expect less than 10% of the movie to actually show Transformers. At least 1 hour will be spent with Sam at college asking his Professors "What would Jesus Do?" Another 30 minutes on the long distant relationshipe between him and the chick, Then the last 30 minutes we may see the Transformers fight. Go get those ticket people!!

Well, it's been widely publicized that there will be close to 60 TFs in this one, which means they have to have minimal screen time, and if you add all that up it amounts to a lot of screen time. As far as I know the soldiers will have minimal screen time, a lot less than the first film, and Sam will only been shown in college for about 10 minutes, because that's when the Decepticons begin hunting him. Other than a funny bit with his mom eating some "special brownies" at orientation, the college crap is kept to a minimum.

BTW, why are you so negative? I understand that the new movies could be a hell of a lot better story-wise, but as TF fans, we should all be happy they even made it to the big screen. With a good action director like Bay no less. (Yeah, I said it!)

The 86' movie didn't need to explain much cause there was already a series going about it. It was a sense a continuation from the series, not needed to give any in depth back ground on were they came from, war etc.

Now, that being said, i hear a lot of people comparing the plot, character development of the TF's, little human interaction of the two movie. I don't think that's fair considering one is animated, and one is live action.
IMO, there was no excuse for the story to focus completely on the bots in the 86' movie since both humans, and bots were animated. NO doubt the TF should have been the complete focus of the movie and had more screen time. The 07' movie was live action with CGI animation and that, as we all know, costs money. I like many, would have loved to see nothing but TF in every single scene of the movie, but lets be real. That's just not being realistic. Thankfully, this time around the budget is bigger, and as we all know, there will be plenty more bots this time around.
As far as plot.... Ya, sorry, but the 86' movie was corniness at its best. You can't bitch about plot and story of the 07' movie and hold the 86' on some sort of pedestal of being a masterpiece of a film.

I too don't understand why your (coolyfett)so negative and judgmental about the second movie. From what we've seen it seems like a lot that people complained about in the first film have been addressed (i won't say answered cause we haven't seen the movie yet). I wish people would give it a fair chance instead of just dismissing it crap. From what I've seen in previews, it already looks to be better than the first movie.

I am telling you people this next movie is going to trump the other 2 films.

Coolyfett, be prepared to eat crow, I have a feeling even you and my brother will like this one better than the 2007 film.

I still have not read enough support for the Dinobots, but its cool, I love Arcee and she is no ones favorite. Its too bad about her sister though.

OK, but I want you to know that some of your posts come off as very negative. Especially about the new movie, and that might be a bit brash, especially since the movie hasn't even come out yet.

And what is this talk about brownies man???

you'll see. It's a funny scene of TF2 involving Sam's mom.

60 TFs that is way too many, people were confused in TF1 with 11 bots, now it is up to 60??

It is a rough estimate making the rounds on the 'net. 20 Bots and 40 Cons. Most of them are just unnamed fodder. But I think it's too much as well. It's definitely more than in the first movie, but I think it's more around 15 and 30. But as I said, most of us wait until the 24th.

Micheal bay's 07 TransFormers was really good. The 1986 one was more like an episode, not like a movie....
ROTF was about equal to 1986(That is to say, they were both just so-so) it lacked autobot screentime and instead focused on the twins(not that I hated them, but why not focus on Jolt, SideSwipe or the original team?)
It lacked all the cool and uh "warm" moments of the first movie and it was too confusing...plus it had way too much language and the lame "Alice" character.

Transformers ROTF is my favorite movie ever!

When the first movie came out, people were saying, "Michael Bay raped my childhood" "the designs are my ass!" "The plot sucks!" "Too many plotholes!" (which I havent noticed any plot holes in either movies). And when I look at most of these comments, most people say Michael Bay's movies are the best...THE END.

Plus the Forest Scene alone is better than any whole movie I have ever seen in my life! The forest scene is whated saved ROTF from being just as good as the 07 movie for me. That scene was just frekn awsum!
I Am.

Oh yeah...woops. Well I meant, the cool autobots.

@Slytf1:Yes, I agree. It seems alot of people were mad that the live action movies weren't blocks. Not that I have anything against G1 but I really love the (overly) complicated designs and insect faces over blocks with human faces.
