Nope the 86 version is the best, because the 80s music from the 80s was recorded in the 80s. TFM is one of the better flicks of the 80s. A lot of kids grandparents that didn't understand TFM were probably in their 80s back in the 80s.

There are to many people who don't understand that you can't really compare the two in a cinematic and historical sense

They are both TRANSFORMER MOVIES, of course fans will compare the 2 finished films. The fans WILL compare all 4 films when TF2 and TF3 are finished also. Historical sense is just predictions and guesses right now buddy.
Most people have viewed TF1 and TFM enough to say "I like this one better"
