After seeing the initial pictures, it took about a week before I gave in. Paid in full (and got a nice discount too) late last year, now I'm just waiting for it to ship. I am being overly hopeful that this guy is of great quality. I'll know soon enough I guess.

But even if I have to super glue or duct tape the guy, he's gonna look a TON better in my MP display than MP-05 ever did.

I pre ordered through Omegalock yesterday, gotta say the pricing on this guy is very impressive, he's cheaper than MP-10! I think that's a smart move on X-Transbots part, they could have slapped pretty much any price they wanted on this guy and people would have bought it, great to see him so competitively priced.

He isn't really cheaper than MP 10 was. MP10s original retail price in Japan was around the 120 mark. The import markup and later "oh look, people really want this, so lets mark it up some more" prices of guys like BBTS is what makes MP10 a $200 toy. If Apollyon is similarly successful, we'll likely see a similar price increase down the line.

I understand that MP-10 is considered somewhat of a benchmark for MP figures but even so Xtransbots are making a Megatron we may well not get from Takara and potentially have a licence to print money here, I suppose what I'm saying is they could have screwed consumers and havnt.

i dont get why we're all comparing apollyon to MP10 (prices wise). apollyon doesnt come with a trailer/roller/ect.

(i know megs comes with "stuff" but not on the same level of MP10)

That's a really good point. Maybe Coronation Starscream is a better comparison?

Fair point, I suppose I'm just comparing them because their both leaders, I suppose MP Starscream or Soundwave (Takara version) would be more appropriate, either way he is still well priced.

For the four of us committed , those still on the fence and the many waiting to see Apollyon be a disappointment

Hmm second guessing myself here looking at it again

Strange if it's Jazz because the transformed robots on the box we know are coming and the ones in Alt modes are obviously going to be future projects

So my thinking is it's Tailgate since him and WC are are the next two in line to be revealed and there doesn't appear to be any other Autobots teased other than minibots .

If I'm remembering correctly, XTB will show more teasers of their next two bots (Windcharger and Tailgate) in March.

Also, would LOVE to hear that Jazz was an official issue from Takara this year.

I guess by the time Apollyon is fully released in march it should be reveal time for WC & TG and after seeing Beachcomber i'm really looking forward to it .

I'm sure they said Apollyon , Andreas , Boost & Hatch are this years offerings ..maybe beachcomber aswell ?

It can't be Jazz, the pic is just blurred enough so you can still make out general details, and what we can see here is that the chest is flat, and not a car hood boob.

Gotta say, that's a really awesome box, I wish the official MP boxes were book boxes like that.

As much as I really want that to be Jazz it's clearly not. I agree the MP boxes should look like that, the only thing I would change is I'd have Apollyon posed like Megs on the G1 box.

My friend says I'm projecting because I want an MP Jazz too much. He also hopes I'm right.

I pre-ordered and am patiently awaiting it to arrive.... can't wait
