This rumor is from F Hunter G ... "The deal is done. The papers signed. The TF comic license has been awarded to a publisher. Plans for the creative team and the series direction are underway. As soon as Hasbro signs off on all of this the announcement will be officially made."
Fact or Fiction? You decide ... hopefully we'll hear something soon either way.

With the movie fast approaching several different comic book companies have shown interest in aquiring the license. DC Comics, Image Comics, and Devil's Due Press have all been rumored to be making a play for the license. Recent rumors suggest that a new player has entered the game. Dream Engine. That's right, the company born out of the firey inferno that was once Dreamwave. Dream Engine would work with Marvel Comics to produce the new comics.
If this is true (and that's a huge if) it would mean that we could once again see the characters that Marvel created such as Circuit Breaker, Death's Head, and The Robot Master. It would also mean that the person who (many believe) was responsible for the disgraceful death of Dreamwave would once again be helming the Transformers comic...and be allowed to draw Optimus Prime with breasts again.
I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that nothing comes of this rumor.

Zinc Panic have an interesting wee report which states that the H.B.S Galaxy Convoy is five inches tall with fifty points of articulation and has a selection of hands. They also state that it might have a huge amount of die-cast metal in it.
Is this Takara trying a "Soul of Chogokin" style line?

C|Net has made a report on their site about the possible end of fans subtitling Japanese Animation and spreading these over the net. Over the past couple of years there had not been an incident where a Japanese company would ask to hold and stop such actions. However the
C|Net article reports that recently a studio called Media Factory has started spreading requests on stopping similar projects from the Anime fan base.
The article suggests that this could be the start of a trend to stop the freely distributed Japanese cartoons over the net. With similar projects of subbing and dubbing Japanese Transformers shows, one have to wonder how long it will take for Transformers fans to be asked to stop making similar projects.

Recently a listing for a H.B.S01 Galaxy Convoy appeared on Takaras new release shedule. There have been several theories as to what this might be, but today Cyc of
The AllSpark.com posted this
image of what may be H.B.S01 Galaxy Convoy? The differences between this and the original Galaxy Convoy are that this one has articulated fingers, hand-grips on his cannons, a silver crown piece and a black blaster.

Contary to a previous report by Rich Johnson of
ComicBookRecources.com's Lyinging in the Gutter, John now reports that the ink on the Hasbro/Devil Due Licence to print the Transformers Comic books may not be quite as dry as he first thought. He writes:
I hear the ink is not quite as dry on the "Transformers" license between Hasbro and Devil's Due as I might have implied. And that this week a number of publishers were flying out to meet and greet the Hasbro boys...
I've also been told that Devil's Due may have balked at some of the terms demanded by Hasbro and may have passed on the license. Or at least, passed on it for now, as it currently stands. Certainly their relationship with Hasbro and the generally well accepted and well selling "G.I. Joe" has made them the most favoured publisher. But contracts are contracts.
Diamond's almost unique decision not to cancel the ordered "Transformers" books, but keep them active for the next publisher to use without starting solicitations from scratch is due to a very hands on approach from Hasbro. Expect the next publisher to have to deal with that kind of thing a lot.
I understand that Josh Blaylock is doing a live interview at YoJoe.com later today (10am Central Time) and will be answering a lot of the speculation.

From Hydra Custom of
The Allspark.com, the same source as the previous story containing the entire Galaxy Force line-up, comes new infomation on the different planets in the TV Series and thier residents. He writes:
Oh, people were wondering how many planets there are.
In terms of main planets, it appears there will be five, which are presumably those insignias comprising the chip of Vector Prime.
If you examine his chip, it's modeled after a clock, with the planets they visit going from largest to smallest in the order they are visited.
These are:
Earth (Eclipsing sun)
Speedia (A speed burst of some sort)
"A planet where speed is everything"
Beast (animal claw)
"A planet that lives by the law of survival: the strong eat the weak"
Giant (A gear, half larger than the other)
"The planet that both giant Transformers and the minicons hail from"
This is where Metroplex, Menasor, Onslaught, and the Minicons are listed as being from. This is said to be the location of the last chip.
The last symbol is a tiny Cybertron symbol, probably symbolizing the return of planet Seibertron. How this relates to the final planet listed, Planet X, is unclear.
Planet X
"Are the residents allies, or foes?"
This is where Soundwave and Sideways are said to come from.

Not sure how reliable the source is yet so I am putting this in Rumors for now.
Energon Prime Rules of the Energon Pub has posted a full line up for Takaras Transformers Galaxy Force line. This infomation has come from a source on
The Allspark.com who last year correctly predicted the Superlink line. He writes:
Here's a little present: I'm looking at a list of the entire toy line-up for Galaxy Force, minus final names for some of the characters. Here are tidbits:
Spoilers
*13 basics, 2 mini-con teams
*16 deluxes
*9 megas
*5 ultras
*4 supers
*2 supremes
Many of the unannounced characters appear to be homages to original characters: last in the list of megas is a Soundwave and Menasor. The list indicates that they'll retain those names for their American release.
The supers are as follows:
Galaxy Convoy, Master Megatron, Galvatron, Metroplex.
Two of these we've seen already.
The supremes are Starscream and PRIMUS. The Starscream is the huge Starscream that's been unveiled already.
On a humorous note, the placeholder names used for Gasket and Landbullet were George and Lenny. I'm guessing they didnt intend to keep those names for too long."
