Matrix_Holder is reporting a sighting of Shattered Glass voyager Megatron and Starscream at GameStop in Burlington, Ontario, in Canada! They came out to $40 CAD with use of the platinum edge card.
So this means that this exclusive line from Hasbro Pulse in the USA will be in Canadian GameStop just like for the Kingdom Ravage set! The Shattered Glass deluxes are then likely to appear too.
If the trend continues, Canadians may be able to get most of their Pulse exclusives at GameStop instead of importing them at very high cost. Ordering anything from Pulse costs between 22$US to 30$US plus they charge ALL the Canadian taxes. So being able to get it locally is a boon for Canadians.
Yes, that title is indeed a mouthful but that's because there are two stories here. The first being that the Beast Wars reissue Tigatron is out in North America. We had heard that it was already in cargo ships off the North American coast a little while back and it is finally getting to Canadian stores. A few Americans were worried that the ton of reissues taking up a lot of the available space would spell doom for new product, and that's the other news element here. It seems Walmart is gearing up for hosting a lot more Transformers product than in previous years. Along with their Transformers section, still filled with Beast Wars reissues and overflowing to nearby random shelves (as can be seen in the images below), they have an aisle standee set out to accommodate all the latest product. In this case that is this Tigatron as well as Kingdom wave 4 deluxes, wave 2 of the Cyberverse Roll and Combine figures, and the Studio Series wave 14 deluxes. That's the wave where the only new figure is ROTF Sideswipe.
Bad news for Canadians who shop at Toys R Us. The prices for Transformers have just significantly increased. The current Covid panic mixed with the shortage of workers and so many other factors are to blame. Most Transformers are now way more expensive than before. Here's some examples:
Deluxes like Origin Bumblebee are now 37$can. Formerly 33$can, formerly 30$can.
Leaders like the overproduced SS Scavenger and Overload are now 80$can. Formerly 75$can, formerly 70$can.
The recent Draculus now jumped to 80$can. formerly 75$can.
Ectotron and X-Pense had their price increased again in such a short while. Now a whopping 100$can. Formerly 95$can, formerly 90$can.
Not pictured, the Buzzworthy Bumblebee 4 pack that is the "Transformers starter pack for kids" that have the Warrior Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Starscream, has jumped from 80$can to 90$cn. Oddly enough, the highly collectible Buzzworthy Bumblebee 4 pack containing Nemesis Primal, Fangry, Bumblebee, and Blackarachnia remains at the highly affordable 120$can without having it's price even increased. Also, it's still in stock on the shelves. Edit: That 4 pack too, had it's price increased twice. Originally 110$can, then 115$can, now 120$can. Ironically, it's still a reasonable price for what we get.
All these price increases on such a short notice are very concerning. The inflation is getting out of control.
Are the prices in your corner of the world going up as if they want to launch into space too? Let us know!
We have very little info on the two reissues that should be coming out soon. We never had listings for either Tigatron nor Scorponok, and no announcement from Hasbro. But they are now available at big box retail in the east. Both Tigatron and Scorponok were spotted at Toysrus in Taiwan, along with a bunch of other cool toys you just don't see on shelves in the west (not even in canada). These iamges come from Prime Rolelr who posted them here. These will still be only found at Walmart in the US and Canada.
This is good news, it means these undocumented reissues are ready for distribution worldwide. No clue when they will show up locally, but it could be sooner rather than later.
These have been popping up for a week now but we wanted to let you know just in case. This fourth wave of the Walmart exclusive RED line has the new releases of Optimus Primal and a clear purple Megatron redeco, referencing the moment he becomes Galvatron in the 86 film. They have been found across the US, like Arkansas and Massachusetts. They have also been found in Canada at the same time, and all over as well with reports coming in from Ontario and Alberta. The image below is of a Walmart in Brockville Ontario.
We have great news to share with you, especially to those who feared the dreadful final wave syndrome. Transformers Kingdom voyager wave 5 has been found at US retail. It consists of Blaster (with Eject) and Tigatron. TF fan LoneDragon found this at a Walmart in Southwest Virginia. Here are the wave contents:
A few Canadians were worried we wouldn't get new stock until Legacy came around but Tigatron has now been found, putting those fears to rest. He was found at Toysrus stores in Ontario and Quebec, the one in the image below is on I found in a Montreal Toysrus. He was 39.99 CAD ($31.27 USD) We also had sightings of new Cyberverse toys, like the wave of warrior Dead End. Yes, that toy was found in the US a while back, showing how much off synch we are at times. It was the other way around for Draculus, which was on Canadian shelves the day it was announced and never left.
Hasbro posted on Instragram, reminding people that Draculus comes out November 28. He has already been found at Target, but since he is street dated for the 28th, he can't be purchased. Still, good to know stores already have stock for when it's ready to be sold.
So good, he’s making a second appearance! Now that Halloween is behind him, Draculus is heading to shelves (as well as online) on November 28th. Parents check those at Target collector spot endcaps or check out our stories to bookmark the link for the restock coming this weekend.
This figure features details inspired by the 1931 Universal Pictures film, Dracula, including black and white deco inspired by the black and white movie release.
Here is an image of him being found at Target from @vicegripx along with a video review if you are still hesitating.
We have our first sighting for Generations Selects Artfire and Nighstick in the US. This set was found at a Gamestop in Russellville, Arkansas for $34.99. It comes with Artfire, a redeco of Kingdom Voyager Inferno, and his Targetmaster partner Nightstick, a redeco of Siege Singe. This toy was/is not an exclusive and could have been preordered from a multitude of places. With this toy now being found in stores, it is bound to come in stock at whichever retailer you preordered from. Gamestop has been stepping up it's game lately with toys found at brick and mortar. Like that Universal Studios Studio Series Megatron that was found a little while ago.
