This version of Sideswipe is spotted with black colour repaint, especially in the vehicle mode. However, in the robot mode it is not entirely black.
The human sidekick - Mikaela is also a new figure.
This set is scheduled to be released in September 2010.

They could have gone with red and done Swerve like the Deluxe version and at least had a new character.

The car mode and the black is good though.

Forgive my smartassiness, but isn't Mudflap more or less a repaint?

Yeah, yeah...it's more than just a repaint, but close enough to be a smartass about it.

You can't do that. I've got the trademark on that on this site...

Precisely what I was thinking. Honestly though, we shouldn't have expected anything different.

That's because a lot of people will. Just like the cash cow Bumblebee. How many BBs do we really need before we've had enough?

I can see being put off when you think the repaint looks better than the first release and you don't want to buy the mold again, but outside of that, who cares? If you don't like 'em, don't buy 'em...problem solved.

Also Sideways and Jolt would be cool...

a completely irrelevant and unnecessary repaint, especially when people are paying 50 dollars plus on the secondary market for mudflap, one of the least popular characters in the film.
repaint that one and get him properly distributed.

I can't find barricade and the twins are kinda dumb to me, but they are nice, just do t like the character. I have the first bb and sideswipe an intend on getting jazz soon, or his eventual G1 repaint. So yeah, w for me as of now as well.

We went 6 molds before the first repaint. Be happy.
Tyrannotaur wrote:Pass on this. They need to put Mudflap in this line. I still need him. I don't care if he is repainted as "tuner Mudflap" or w/e.. just put him in the HFTD HA line.

That's just horrendous. Gotta adapt man - Mudflap is overstocked in Canada buddy. Send out a call in the forums or something.

Seriously? Like really and truly? OK, here it is then! Any Canadians here willing to buy and ship me a HA Mudflap? I'll pay for shipping and the toy plus 10% for gas!

Yeah, my area had a whole slew of them. Now that well seems to have dried up and we have tons of Jazzs now. Not digging the prices here though, $40 - $50 is a bit too steep for me to really buy these guys. I would totally dig Jolt though, I don't think the deluxe mold does his design justice.
