Megatron Now Confirmed in TF3

I wonder what will happen with the toys. . .

I wish it would be movie accurate if the move characters are REALLY COOL.

If not, the toys must be cooler.

The Chicago shoot is getting so out of hand they can apparently feel it all the way up in Canada: CBC news at noon just had 30 second spot on it, but didn't show much except a skyscraper-top explosion.

I was expecting Megatron to be in the third movie, not a surprise.

I'm kinda hopeing that this Shockwave is true to the Marvel Comics version when he wanted absolute control of the Decepticons and he kicked Megatrons a**.

I guess they never made a place holder for ROTF and used the same since TF1.

Of course Megatron is gonna be in TF 3. Thats like if Optimus was never mentioned at all in TF 3.

the three Autobot Nascars
Prime with Trailer
Ratchet
Ironhide
Sideswipe
the Mercedes Autobot
the Mysterious Red Jeep
Megatron's head on a steeck
Soundwave's head on a steeck
Shockwave's head on a steeck
Jose Jalapeno on a steeck

...wait a minute...something isn't right...

All in all, this is turning into a HUGE fight between HUGE robots...

I liked that design alot more, maybe he went back to it?
(He DID do alot better against Prime in that form...)

I'm gonna laugh my a** off when the character that everyone is speculating as Shockwave turns out to be something entirely different. I mean, seriously folks, what on earth makes any of you think that just because the thing has one glowing eye that it's going to have ANYTHING to do with our favorite analytical G1 bad-ass. This is Michael Bay's TF universe. Now, I'm probably wrong, (wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last) I've been working long hours at a new job and likely missed the post confirming Shockwaves appearance in the movie. I really don't much care because the same general rule applies to ALL the speculation that everyone has just been running wild with. The truth of it all is, we've seen a lot of pictures, none of them in any real context, and the fandom really, truly doesn't know jack about what is actually going on but is instead making wild guesses and people are just running with it.

Hope that makes you feel better, dragons. Now you can make your comments and know that someone has your back and was willing to take the first bullet for ya.

Then thee is the Easter egg in ROTF of a G1 Shockwave statue in a newspaper article. And I'm pretty sure that the "Shockwave" head is Shockwave, after all it looks like him.

Also Shockwave seems to have mandibles under his eye.

Actually the picture with Megatron's head may be from the first movie. It was posted by a forum member on Don Murphy's forum so it is nothing official yet.

Don't think so, I just remembered that the head seen in the movie was designed after the filming was complete and people complaint about his original face.
So this design must be left from ROTF as I think early concept art for ROTF Megatron had the same face.

Glad Megs is back. Hate to see any more bots get the off-screen boot.

It's not a wild guess, but an educated one. I have some pictures from the Chicago shoot that show the Nascars driving IN FORMATION with the rest of the familiar Autobots. I can't post it though because it's too big...

Me being the Mecha/Robot fan that I am, I wish they would drop 90% of the Sam and his love interest story. Hopefully this will be more focused on the 'bots, but I highly doubt it. This is just a money generator to Bay. I'am sorry, I dont care what he says to the press, thats what it is. I was so excited to see ROTF, just because of the mention of Soundwave. Paid my $15 to see it in Imax, and was hugely disappointed. Looks like the same scenario to me; "Hey look guys, we threw Shockwave in this one, now you HAVE to see it!!!"

he should be Galvatron considering the fact that prime kicked his metallic butt and nearly killed him but oh well 1 can dream right. Wonder if he'll have a new vehicle mode

New rumor floating around about those Nascarbots. A member on the Tformers board was an extra in the movie. He was told while on set that those cars are in fact Autobots- an elite combat group called...

Grain of salt and all that, but that was heard on the set. COuld make for a VERY interesting twist and maybe further confirm that the white-wired face may just be Perceptor.

Actually the administrator of Michal Bay's forum confirmed that the "white-wired face" is niether Kup nor Perceptor. And that the blue Mercedes and the Einstein-looking bot are the same (not Jolt).
