More Reveals Coming August 10 Including MPM ROTF Starscream and Canon Camera Optimus Prime

An Optimus camera? Meanwhile Reflector is in the corner crying.

I get that Prime is the most marketable. Hopefully we'll get a purple redeco of it.

Missed opportunity for a Reflector masterpiece

If it wasn't Optimus I'd be more excited for it. It kinda reminds me of the older crossovers, like Captimus Prime, the phone one, or the Nike shoes. I passed on those because they involved Optimus. Ironically he makes them all less desirable.

Count me in among those who'd rather get a G1 Reflector MP.

Definitely agree on most of the crossovers, but PS Optimus and Sega Megatron are very cool!

Would be nice if they give Starscream a complete jet mode this time with some thrusters.

I have both of those, actually. Mainly because the alt. modes are really cool.

For Megatron it is "MEGAdrive" so it gets a pass. Otherwise the pun is ruined. And I guess he needs an Optimus to go with him.

TBH, though, while it's cool to have TFs of a PSX and Genesis, they're kinda terrible TF toys in general.

I can also understand why the GIJoe collab has Megatron and Bee.

For every single other release it's actually been a real detriment to me buying. I don't really want to have all my collabs with the same red and blue color schemes; to all be Prime.

Not surprised it's Prime...I mean how else would you get buyers to dump 150$ into a camera they'll rarely use and/or transform?
But, still, maybe they'll do a reflector retool to get their money's worth off of this mold. inb4 it ends up being a Megs retool.

Hmm, I thought 'Segatron' would be more fitting.

I very much doubt that Canon Camera Prime is in any way linked to Hasbro, as it's very much something Takara has done before (Playstation, Bearbrick, pen, TOYOTA FJ Cruiser X, etc). Canon is a Japanese company too.

MPM ROTF Starscream was a given, but that Camera?
Why Optimus Prime? WHY? It makes absolutely no sense, especially when Reflector is a thing since before G1.

When i first saw the prime camera I though it was literally a joke!

Might be interested in these on clearance maybe. Don't really need another MPM Starscream and Optimus just doesn't look that impressive with very minimum transformation on the sides of the camera. If you tell me it actually works that's one thing, but as is it's very boring and lazy looking.

Also there is no "I would rather have an MP Reflector" here. That goes without saying, but this isn't preventing that from happening, it isn't even an MP.

I don't think so. If you make an odd collectible, might as well fully commit and do something unique. Furthermore, all these botcons, Robosen, MP, Lego, Statues, Exclusives, and so on that are all technically "overpriced" sell out like hotcakes.

So a fully working and transformable camera would still sell. Especially if they make it a "limited edition" or some bull like this.

Yeah, but there's several reasons why that would be a bad idea. First off it would have to be to the same specs as the real EOS R5 otherwise what's the point? And that's likely impossible since most of the camera body is probably taken up by necessary things like a screen and battery not leaving room for robot parts. Then there's the price, the real camera is around $3,500 and doesn't even come with a lens! Even the Robosen figure and trailer would be a steal compared to that! So yeah, no way would this be a working camera, it's literally impossible. Sure, we do have a lot of "functional" transformers, but we also have fake hats, phones, shoes, and game consoles, this is no different.

I at least hope it's a 1/1 scale camera.

Well, obviously it would never be the exact same camera as the original. But it could have been a basic potato camera with a low res LCD screen, micro SD compatible, just basic potato functions and it would have been fine.

But I can understand why the corporation licensing the camera would never want to be associated with a potato-cam.

This probably wasn't made for you to begin with, it's for that very small cross section of photographers (most likely professional) that also like Transformers. Of course anyone can buy it, but they definitely have a certain customer in mind when doing branded figures like this.

Their real cameras don't turn into an iconic robot, that's the whole point, it's a novelty. That's like saying people that own cars are the last people who should want Transformers.

I love robots so if the real car I want to buy won't transform into a sentient robot, I ain't buying one.

We have some official images from Takara for several new toys. Below you can see images of the upcoming redeco of MPM Starscream in his Revenge of the Fallen deco. The accessories are the same as the previous release. We also have better images of Blanker (the Japanese name for Point Blank, an the official name for this release) and Dead End showing us their robot modes at different angles as well as the Peacemaker target master and the alt modes. A lot of fans are taking issue with Dead End's feet and the lack of certain articulation on Blanker such as no bicep swivel. Let us know if this bothers you or not.
Plus, we have images of the Canon Transformers crossover which has a realistic Canon camera turn into Optimus Prime. There are no preorders for any of these open yet but we will let you know when there are.

Appart that moronic camera, all those reveals are magnificent.

I'm actually really worried about Legacy Pointblank/Blanker... It looks like it doesn't have a bicep swivel... I really hope that I'm wrong

Hmm. Interesting. Normally, the feet on a car-former are way too BIG because they invert the back of the car to form the legs. But it seems they didn't do that for Dead End. So not only are his feet visually dinky, but he's got massive "THICC" knees.

That's a shame in some ways. It means the Dead End robot mode will be the dud. But, let's be frank - everyone is going to leave him as a Menasor arm anyway, right?

I prefer Movie Starscream with the realistic F-22 color, but I can't deny how good the mold look with added colors. This version of toy really make of some of details more nitid.

I hope that Canon Prime actually functions as a basic camera! I'm such a sucker for any figure that turns into something actually functional. Would kill for a rerelease of Music Label Soundwave or that badass Ravage memory stick.

According to everyone, he doesn't function. If he did I'd probably forgive his bad transformation.

MPM Starscream looks better some how with the pattern on him.

Pointblank really needs a waist add on.

Deadend looks really bad as an arm and would likely need figures stood in front of him or around him to hide his feet/lower back legs which is a shame.

Canon Prime looks like they have given it weak feet like the console bots (wI really like the console bots tbf) and has a really compromised bot mode for all the camera parts. No obvious signs of ingenuity like roller being film roll (yes I know it's not that kind of camera but come on) etc etc and the matrix placement is awkward too.

Man, I pass on pointblank. I think they could have done better.
I'm mostly here for deadend. I like the car mode, the attached mode is what I expected and I can't wait for him even though wildrider has been shown an released in some regions an I don't own him yet, but I need this set to be completed and judging off of deadends feet, I hope they don't mess up breakdown. In my opinion these feet are the first mess up to this set. So just one more to see. Cmon breakdown.

It doesn't seem bad at all to me honestly! At least he has real feet compared to the Combiner Wars version - and doesn't look super similar to Wildrider either.
Ironically enough I never display my combiner teams...combined, I feel it downplays the "team" aspect and their individual personalities.

That Starscream looks great. My only nitpick is few parts molded in beige plastic, but that's a minor nitpick. I wonder if Target will stock this version after they immediately clearanced the original release?

Canon Prime actually looks really interesting! I get major Real Gear Robots Spyshot 6 vibes from the transformation, especially the legs forming the side of the camera and swinging down relative to the torso. It also looks like the lens assembly with the head (and arms?) folding out from it, and the lens side panels fold over onto his back. Not something I'm interested in buying, but I definitely would like to see exactly how that transformation works.

Dead End looks good. I'm cool with his feet. That's all I've got.

Pointblank/Blanker.... doesn't have a bicep swivel? The figure looked rough before, but missing articulation that's been standard for like 15 years is pretty much the death blow for me. If nothing else, pointblank will now serve as the example to fans of targetmasters, powermasters and Armada characters why modern figures can't come with their little partners. Budgets just can't support that anymore (and even with peacemaker this toy screams budget cuts).

Device Label Ravage is arguably the best Ravage ever made, and I really want to see that design revisited and refined in core class, USB stick alt mode and all (obviously non-functional at that price).

It looks like Pointblank might have a swivel deep in the shoulder kibble, but it's really hard to tell (and probably doesn't exist.)

Maybe I'm just unable to accept such a baffling decision, I'd honestly rather sacrifice ankle articulation if it means gaining proper arm articulation. We've lived years without ankle tilts in TFs, so I have no idea why they went with no bicep swivel. A shame since I personally really enjoy how the figure looks otherwise.

In these times, at these price points and giving extra kibble pieces (to justify the hike in price) for no reason... there should be no compromises. They should all have ankle, wrist, hand, neck and every other articulation not mentioned)
