If you are familiar with Transformers Generations 1 Constructicons, Dr. Crank looks similar to Constructicons Surgical Engineer - Hook.
The new images showcased Dr. Crank in both robot and vehicle mode. Dr. Crank is also to form the chest part of the almighty Hercules.

lets hope it has nothing to do with the final design.

It's a prototype, dude, people would have TFC's "head" if any of those colors are on the final version, not to mention, there are already some green protoype pics of him.

Looks cool, I think I like his design the most so far, especially the head mold. Ah, if only I could afford/display these...
Astronopolis wrote:looking good, im just curious about that little door on the toe, any idea what thats for?
It has a tab on it, I'm guessing it has something to do with the combination.

It's comments like these that makes me afraid that everyone has the right to vote.

If you actually wait to buy them in that order you might be paying a shitton of cash on the secondary market... Unless they ultimately do a box set and you buy them all in one shot.

and two, resellers might put a premium on them...
i don't want to repeat what happened to me with FP Bruticus...

That's the one thing that's keeping me away from these guys. Might get my first job soon (funnily enough, Toys "R" Us), so that will get me up to speed.

Still on the fence about getting these guys, mainly because I think Herc is looking a tad bit flat at the back of his head, considering that they had to incorporate it in the alt mode.

People will find any reason to complain. The whole point of these guys is all the pieces are stored, even the hands/head.
Please don't get it. That will leave more for me. I see its value.

Who poses a figure showing the back of the head?

"Oh?"
"You've met Starscream, haven't you?"
"Ohhhh..."

And people will find any reason to get hostile just because I'm stating my uncertainties. Seriously man, you call THAT complaining? Really? I actually find them to be quite the work of geniuses, but with Maketoys teasing their version of Devy, I can't really decide yet.

I just need to see some side view of it, that's all.

Additionally, site sponsor Robotkingdom have updated their release date for the next Hercules member, Heavylabor, to around mid-October. He was previously scheduled to release mid-September.

Pros
It's a huge Devastator.
They're green.
TFC did replace Scavanger's shovel for free.
Cons
The price.
Not in scale with Classics
No cartoon homage except for Scrapper.
And the big question - How will Devastator hold together once he is assembled?

They seem to be the same wings as on Devestator's chest shield, so they're probably removable.

With you all the way on this. I'd add as a con that the combined Devsatator looks very Soul of Chogokin-not a good match for Classics figures, especially since the separate figures look very G1.
And based on how long my TFC GoW2 gun welds held together, I'm still afraid of their long term durability (mainly the connection points).

I think these are a great match for the classics line. I mean each one is almost the same size as Prime. I mean in real life these things would be larger than a Tractor Trailer Truck. Also The comined form is going to be huge. Sure the actual scale should be a little larger if you want it in scale. But look at G1, the original devestator was tiny. Also the actual classics devestator is crap.

Voyager sized. Scavenger is about the size of Classics Prime.

I think this guy will suffice as a classics Devy but I think the individual bots are a little blocky to match the Classics aesthetics.

When I get my house back in shape, I will be trying to put some of these individually on the shelf as Classics. I think they can fit, but 'my classics' may not look like 'your classics'. I have pieces from ROTF in it, as well as UNIVERSE, CLASSICSs, UNITED, HENKEI. But I may not be as particular as some folks. I mean if you have an Animated Arcee in there, or an Armada Tidalwave, you can stick this in there.

A very valid point. I have a few cybertron repaints thrown in there. They are pretty blocky as well.
