Modxtoy forum has uploaded the scanned images of latest issue of Japanese Toy Magazine - Telebi Kun April 2010.
In this issue, the Transformers related section is mainly focused on the Japanese version of Transformers Animated. The pictures show the connection between Takara's Transformers Animated and their movie continuity. Animated is being used by Takara as a prequel to the movies! Check out the images below!

i wonder, if the series and toys take off in japan, if they will release any new characters. would love to have a perceptor.

You know what interesting about these scans? We're seeing pretty pictures, yet completely missing their message.

If you're talking about Movie = Animated, that was already made fact back in December, and it's really nothing too special.. just something Takara's done to appeal the Animated cartoon to their fanbase.

On the latter, this could either refer to those that we've heard of that may be canceled, or those that we've never heard of that were canceled.
And posts further down the page show that the series "'will take place' in a place called Hi-Tech City where people and robot lives together." And Earth isn't mentioned either.
