First, learn the difference between a sports car and an F1 style racecar. Or have you somehow confused SIEGE Mirage and Alternators Mirage?

Second, it's plainly not an Earthly one.
Third, what about Sideswipe?
Fourth, look up Beast Machines Mirage.
@Flashwave
You might want to finish that sentence.

This is what's called a production delay. Well, that and idiot marketers announcing a release date before a toy has fully passed testing.

This having to catch up from taking a little break sucks. I argue with myself all the time wether to spend my money on a figure i missed on or get the one that's out now.

Sideswipe might be a close concept but it works for me. Feels futuristic a bit. YA - I MISSPOKE. Should have said race car. I'd have loved something more in the vein of the Beast Wars Mirage. This Mirage still feels like the classic Formula One race car. That said - I'm still going to get him.

1) We already knew about new the hips, but that doesn't make it hurt my eyes less every time I see them.
2) They've modified the upper arms, and by modified, I mean they took a chunk out of them for some reason.
3) The hell is going on with his neck???
I am not saying Omega is not a good toy. But it is undeniable that it is a much less appealing figure than the one with which we were initially presented. It just sucks knowing what could have been vice what we're actually getting.

I don't see what you mean by the modified upper arms, nor what's wrong with his neck, but I can clearly see the hips. Others have mentioned the redesign needed so that the waist rotation would work properly. While this may be a bother for some aesthetically, I much prefer this insignificant sacrifice if it means we can get a properly articulated robot mode.

the arms are not an issue
the head was the first thing I noticed in the new pics. I'm just hoping it's an issue that won't be noticeable once we start moving and posing the figure round - might've always been there and wasn't visible unless the photo was taken straight on

I had the same thought.
Honestly, I'm sorta surprised it's taken this long for a Titan-class toy to end up needing a major revision like this. It's a risk with such large toys, sadly. Heck, the original Fort Max mold doesn't pass the drop test - that's why we never got an RiD import of Brave Max.

My guess is Bluestreak and Soundblaster are gap fillers jammed in to finish up the Siege line-up without adding actually adding additional figures.ZeroWolf wrote:I'd likely something different, an odd choice to celebrate the 35th anniversary mind, prime and megs? No brainer, bluestreak and soundblaster? Not so much. Also strange that bluey would be the only Deluxe mold among the lot.
If the 35th anny is a different line, that will spread the Datsun bros across three lines.
Hasbro is the new Twizzlers...

I thought the same thing, but looking at the video which gives multiple angles, it appears the head was indeed more flush to the body on the prototype. If they made the change to add more articulation, that's fine, but why does it have to be so unsightly? Look at Siege Jetfire's neck. It's a thing of beauty.

Bluestreak is a direct repaint of Prowl but with the much coveted shoulder cannons that will be included with both Smokescreen and Barricade.
And coming in hot from a reformatting looking like he's been doing some serious push ups and doubling up his chest capacity is the Soundwave retool SoundBlaster!
Will you be picking up the chattiest of the Autobot 'Seekers' to complete the Prowl/Smokesceen/Bluestreak trifecta? Will the shadowy Decepticon with the chest that's better than the rest round out your Siege Decepticon roster? Let us know in the forums and as always stay tuned to Seibertron for the ultimate in Transformers news!

Anyway, I agree, BS does look very nice, but a little blurry and soft around the edges. Man, mold degradation set in fast. I guess Hasbro really is cutting corners. Joking aside, at first his front hood / chest spoiler looked larger, but after checking out Prowl, it's the same. He and Smokey really make Prowl look naked without any shoulder pew pews. A real bummer, but at least there are a few 3P options out there.

side note but one of the few things I brought back from my trip to the US is something I had never seen before:

By the way, I am not too worried about getting this toy. I will wait it out, as I usually have. It being online exclusive and also being still a mass produced toy means there will be quite a bit to go around, we just dont know how long to wait till we know the best channels of purchase for all.

I will say that I skipped Elita at first until it was rumored that a full lady biner team would be released. I'm very excited to finish up the team. Would be cool if Hasbro went the CW route and released a legends class figure to go with them. I guess one of the non-combining Chromias will fill that support role.

Pro-tip, bite off each end and use it as a straw for some milk and you'll get a slightly chocolaty milk.
Even more pro-tip, do NOT try that with orange juice...

Soundblaster, meanwhile, is a much more recognized alternate color scheme for Soundwave these days, with appeal on both across the Pacific and across the pond, and precedent in US toylines since Animated. And, in this case, comes with the spiffy "Hold two cassettes" feature.
