But who is #1 on this list? Who is the King of Kings in the toy collecting community you ask? Well it's none other then the rightful heir to the throne himself Masterpiece Convoy! This isn't really a big surprise as fans have been saying this for years. If you haven't done so already, run out and grab yourself a copy of the latest issue of Toyfare today!

I know I got one of my anniversary Primes for only 25 bucks
at Walmart. My 6 year old got that one and she plays with it.
Definitely a toy.
They're the exact same toy buddy, save for MORE paint apps on the Hasbro version and shorter smokestacks. Quality is exactly the same.

One is plastic and one has die-cast... personally I see the MP version to be of higher quality due to its construction.

There IS Die-Cast in the Hasbro release! What are you talking about? Unless if you're referring to the new one that came out at the time of Classics, with the crappy talking base...

that prototype unicron would have been better then the Armada/energon version... simply because it was based on the beast Wars Neo Unicron, who was hailed as the baddest villain in all the universe.. and because he was the Beast Wars neo Unicron he was also in Japanese canon, the original Unicorn as well..

add a few di-cast parts, oversize a classics jetfire
by a scale factor of 3 or 5 add some more
gim micks come on jetfire is in top 5
transformers of all time that have bin remade
in a differenet form by my count there is like
10 forms of jetfire over the years
anybody agree with me

The Takara owned Transformers line in Japan was gearing up to produce a Unicron toy for its 1998 Beast Wars Neo line! But it, like it's G1 counterpart in the mid 80's, was never produced. A prototype was exhibited at the Tokyo Toy Fare. I would give my right arm for this figure. Judge for yourself:

I wish that unicron was made, When i heard that there was going to be a unicron made i thought it was this one. Nope we get stuck with the crap Armada one. Yeha its a cool figure but that proto type looks 100 times better. Its cool that MP Prime is first but the MPs/anniversary figures along with the alternators are not toys. They are collection pieces. A toy is something that you can play with when ever you want and not be afraid to break it. Plus real toys dont cost $50-$100.

QFT! Feel like a kid sometimes that just does not get what he wants no matter how much he asks for it. That puppy is just a thing of beauty.
I agree, but the only thing about BWNEO Unicron that I would miss that Aramda Unicron had was articulated hands & fingers. Still, this would've been one awesome toy to have in my possession. Oh well.

Talk about being uninformed. For how many years the mold has been out now, 2, 3? You'd think would know better by now. Both toys share the same materials in the exact same spots, die-cast included.

Nope, that one is the same as well, just different/uglier paint job.

You're basically asking for another Yamato release.

MP3 SoundWave is a toy that real pushes the idea of merging toy and tech, so I love it! I don't have one yet, but I still suport this figure and hope to see more things like this get made. Especialy since realy, as tech prices drop, there is no reson to take existing cool product and wrap it in a TF shell!
As for MP Prime, well...
I can always find a way to complain about how to make something better, including this guy. But concerning him, that list is realy, realy short!
Good Good Transformers, here's hoping this is just the start to your growing greatness!

EDIT: Front Paged and Credited tacogrande!
Hell on the topic of Unicron, I wouldn't ming getting my hands on this as well!

Wait, Classics Grimlock made the list?! I mean, I like him and all, but I might not even rank him among the top 100 toys in my (tiny, compared to many of you guys!) collection, let alone of the past 10 years. And I didn't even like the look of Classics Devastator enough to pay $10 for him when I saw him discounted at WalMart.
I think this just goes to show that the large majority of ToyFare readers -- and hence the ones voting in said poll -- are huge Transformers fans.

Also, remember the Classics price guide they did a few months back, and some of us were commenting on how some were mistransformed? Spider-Man receives a letter from a fan about it and Optimus comes in and explains why, saying that a buncha Transformers went on a bar crawl for Ratchet's birthday (seriously...I am not kidding). If we make Prime liking pickles official canon material, then we can do the same for Ratchet's birthday ritual.

No, they've been putting him at the top of "best of" lists for years. The ToyFare guys usually know awesome when they see it.
