As many have guessed, according to these images it looks like the SS2.0 mystery figure is none other than Eject.

As this is supposed to be a mystery figure whose identity is supposed to be unknown until the 6th figure ships...some people like to be surprised in the mail.

The GI Joe SS reveals are treated this way as well... And that's when any new SS figure has first begun shipping, let alone for the extra freebie figure.
This figure is no surprise to most, once they know what it is...but still.

I have little to no interest in 3.0. 2 more figures on that seeker mold and another figure on the IDW bumble bee/goldfire/nightbeat mold create no interest for me.

I can see the appeal of Krok for his Action Master homage, and people seem to like getting more Seekers. And Tarantulas is a popular character, despite the mold choice being a bit questionable. So it really only looks like Zap and Serpent O.R. might be the least-appealing ones to the masses.megatronus wrote:Midnight_Fox wrote:Optimizzy wrote:This was probably the best SSC set I've seen. Though, for me personally, Serpent O.R. is the one I'm looking forward to the most since I loved the Devil's Due TF/G.I. Joe crossovers and the one Serpent O.R. appeared in was my favorite. And, holy cow! The SON OF MEGATRON is getting a toy!!!

I'm not as well versed in the fiction - which one/mold is Megatron's son?
The choices just seem a tad more obscure this time around, which is fine for some, but doesn't do much for me. I was very much ambivalent to their choices at first, especially more Seekers & Tarantulas, but I have warmed up to the other 3. If I do decide to subscribe this time around, I'll probably just sell the Seekers and keep the other 4, because they do look nice, even if, as you said Sabrblade, the choice of mold for Tarantulas is questionable. At least he comes with 2, count em 2, spiders.

I really only wanted Treadshot from 2.0 and a little want for Barricade. I've already got a good Chromedome and Rewind and I couldn't care less for the rest of the figures.
Hell, the club could give us a Sub Service of nothing but Seekers and Con Actionmasters and I'd buy them all.

In the comics, SerpentOR had the memories from Megatron's disembodied head downloaded into him, so he went around proclaiming himself the son of Megs. kinda hokey, but then, he's never been right in the head...

Calling it right now, and someone please quote me when I suggest this, next year's mystery bonus will be post-mortem, Vok-empowered Tarantulus.

I actually would've been really happy had it been him. It would've, in the words of the Master Chief, "mix things up a little." Though if we didn't get you-know-who as this year's mystery bonus, then individuals would complain.

Should be sometime next month.

I'd wait another month, for the 3rd figure, which is Thrustinator, to be shipped.

I think Moonshot means the third 2.0 figure since we've only gotten Barricade and Fisitron so far.Mindmaster wrote:Moonshot wrote:Looks like people guessed correctly on the mystery figure. Shouldn't it be time for the 3rd TFSS figure to be out or past due? I'm ready to keep these rolling in
3.0 figures won't start shipping until next June-ish, based on previous years.

Yeps Sabrblade's got it, the 3rd 2.0 figure is the one I was talking about. Seems like its been over a month since Fisitron came.

As previously stated, this image of TFSS 2.0's mystery figure, Rewind's fellow cassette buddy Eject, comes from Kapow Toys' Facebook. It has been mirrored below for your viewing convenience!

BUT, still glad it's confirmed, because seriously, I need a sports obsessed robo jock in my collection.
Funny how there's been zero fiction about him though from IDW. Is he related to Rewind? Do they even know one another?

Also, 3rd 2.0 Subscription Figure is hitting this week. I saw on Twitter yesterday a dude in TX got his already (then submitted the news to another site, boo!)

This Rewind is actually not IDW Rewind: the comic promoting TFSS 2.0 shows him to be from a strange, maybe parasitic, universe that intersects and adopts elements from the IDW comic. This Eject may be from the same universe, who knows with FunPub fiction?

ScottyP wrote:I never got on the PE 3rd party train for Rumble and Frenzy, got the United tanks instead, so it'll be nice to have them all "match" even though I'm really not a big fan of that mold.
Yep, I've got the tanks too. I'm not too enthused about the mold either, but the Takara decos do make them look pretty decent. I did get one of the third party Rumble's a while back (the purple one that transforms into a G1 Soundwave compatible cassette) but it's not that great. The MP versions are far better in my opinion, but of course they sit on my MP shelf.
As for Eject and Rewind here, I'll most likely be skipping them. I didn't sign up for the TFCCSS (whoa, that's a lot of letters ) this year because there were only 2 figures I really wanted (Thrustinator and Barricade) and I ordered them on BBTS.
Rewind looks OK, but not $80 OK and since this guy will probably go for similar prices, I think I'll just skip em' both. I'm not too hard up for Classics Autobot Cassettes anyway. I'm still hoping Blaster and his minions get the MP treatment someday.
It is really neat that the Club is importing these molds though, as this will be the first experience with it (and others like Jet Vehicon for Botcon) for a lot of people so for many, these are practically new/original molds.

Well, the comic did say it was entangled with another, but I on't know if they meant the IDW verse or the Prime verse, which this also seems to mirror...
But anyway, let's call this repurposing and have it done, kinda like SG Tracks. Surely I'm not the only one who is waiting for Crosscut to have his bodyguard... right? right? uh oh...
What is it no one likes about the tank mold? My biggest gripe with it is the spring loaded poounders don't lock in on vehicle mode, but other than that I thought it was a wonderful homage, especially considering GDO Laserbeak is a drone as well. And then there's the MQ9 Reaper Soundwave, and the F117 Soundblaster he upgrades into. 'll admit, I'm not fond of this mold for Rewind but I have a hard time arguing with that head, and its a more play-worthy figure than the FOC versions.xyl360 wrote:ScottyP wrote:I never got on the PE 3rd party train for Rumble and Frenzy, got the United tanks instead, so it'll be nice to have them all "match" even though I'm really not a big fan of that mold.

They do this quite often and it's great, definitely something that they get right. Thrustinator is another very recent example of this.

I can't speak for anyone else, but what bugs me most are the alt mode which looks pretty unconvincing as a tank and the limbs of the bot mode. They're just a bit too lanky for me and the forearms/hands don't look that great. They feel kinda like old Energon molds to me rather than United/Generations.

Finally #3 Thrustinator is on his way and we are closer to Chromedome and Treadshot. On the cassette stuff, I like Rewind as a mini-tank for just the reference in MTMTE where he jokes about being one. The only other cassettes I have are Rumble(blue) and Buzzsaw masterpiece who hang out with GO! BH Soundwave(I know some will not approve lol)

Not worst kept, just predicted. We know FunPub has a limited number of molds to use and a goal to get as much maximum profit out of them as they can (with a few obvious repaints they failed to pick up the ball on...) Dang right they;re gonna make the obvious repaint. The only question, would be was it Eject, Rosanne/Flip Sides (which wiukd be cool considering she shares the con mold...), or Solarbot?
