Transformers Earthspark and Legacy Toys will be Revealed at SDCC

"Chance" really being the operative word here. Good SDCC exclusive sell out fast on Hasbro's online store fronts so you really have to be there hitting refresh to have any hope at all. I had so many exclusives in the past sell out during checkout. Will it be different with exclusives not being available at the con, maybe? Got burned all over again recently on Alternators Nemesis Prime. Spotted it in stock on BBTS for $75 the other day, went to eBay to see if the prices had come down, nope they're $150 loose there, went back to BBTS, sold out. Cheapest on eBay is currently $120 loose which is ridiculous because the highest sold + shipping sealed one is $99. Someone needs to tell these people that it's the Binaltech version that commands the $300+ price tag.

Sorry, got sidetracked. Yay, new SDCC exclusives! It's been too long! Can't wait to see them!

Oh boy I can't wait for exclusives that'll be scalped and sold on eBay for twice the money!

I'm still interested to see if those exclusives are even worth the money, and what Earthspark will offer us though.

Isn't Legacy going to be more movie focused on 23 with Rise of the Beasts or will tehri be a dedicated line for it once we get closer to release?

Studio Series will get the more collectible movie stuff as they always have. The more kid friendly stuff will start in the Cyberverse line, but likely move to its own line next year.

Thanks to TFW2005's on site team, we have images of everything regarding Transformers that was on display during SDCC's preview night. The panels and new reveals are tomorrow but for now we have new images of toys not released yet. We have a good look at the Amazon Exclusive 5 pack of 2007 movie Autobots, which show the difference in paint apps. Optimus and Bumblebee seem to both be missing some paint app details compared to previous releases, for instance. We also see more of Metroplex's third mode, and images of upcoming Shattered Glass releases. It is important to note that Optimus and Ratchet are put there with the rest confirming that they are meant to be part of the same collection (some fans had doubts). We also have shots of a prop 70s Camaro with Wheelie inside, images of the same test shots of Star Saber we saw before and a new promo image of the upcoming Earthspark show which show a different take on Optimus' face.

Also, are my eyes deceiving me, or does that Optimus have outlined flames in truck mode?? Because he didn't in the stock photos.

How is Earthspark Primes face so creepy!? the other 3 bots look fine, but he has some weird cheek "bones", squinty eyes and his whole face is weirdly sunken in to his helmet.

Optimus with a face plate will ALWAYS look cooler than Optimus with robot lips. Does anybody think Soundwave would look cooler with a human face? NO? Then why the (bleep) they think that way about Optimus is a mystery to everybody. Do they think it makes him less 'threatening' to little kiddies if he has a nose, lips, teeth, and even sometimes a tongue? BOO!

The face makes it easier to convey feelings. humans instinctively look for facial clues for emotional experession.

Honestly, his game here looks better than the version we saw with the mouthplate. That was...rough

Apparently they're badges of some sort.

Somewhere it was speculated that it's a symbol also worn by the uniform-wearing woman seen in the trailers and promo pics, suggesting that she and the Autobots may both be part of a shared organization. And since she looks like a forest ranger or something, it may be something nature-related.

Official Hasbro stock photos of EarthSpark toys are out in the wild. There are Deluxe class toys, Warrior class toys, and of course, all new simple style toys full of new gimmicks and play patterns.
