...I wouldn't complain. Unless the reason they were releasing it so early was because they gave up on finding voice actors. Then, I would cry.

He helps run Bay's website. Notice the link goes to Bay's news blog.

The guy that posted this is Nelson, Michael Bay's slave laborer. He's not lying.
Look at the original thread makers name it might give you a clue.

Also read the actual first post and it links you to Bay's website. Do we need to explain it a little bit more?

Probably an 8 oclocker

emeraldbeacon wrote:If "special showing" is the midnight event on July 3, then this isn't new... it's merely confirmation of the original "bumped up" date of July 3. Honestly, if an evening showing on the 2nd is indeed 'special', it's only special by a couple of hours.
It's an 8pm showing like they did with POTC3...I assume.
More details later.

Exactly, can they at least try and bring the movie forward for us here. July 6 seems to be the best day to release it, it's the same day as Die Hard 4 but Die Hard 4 shouldn't really be any competition for Transformers.

And we can go outside to see the fireworks after it ends!

If it happens in my area, I'll take advantage as there's a BBQ that I need to be at on the 4th...
...cause, you know, steak, beer, and I know I can hook up easy in this crowd

Because here in the U.S. a lot of ppl drink, eat and party on the fourth. GIven those opions I probably wouldn't be in the theater that day.

Toy/Department stores around here gave two craps (not one, but two!), about having anything out today, and the TRU really stunk it up.
I have a feeling the movie theaters would feel the same way, since it is an unproven property.

Not to mention, as I've said in another thread, on the 4th, people will have to worry about going to work the next day...on the third, the next day is a holiday.Chris™ wrote:Screambug wrote:Like I said, what's wrong with releasing it on FOURTH OF JULY?

By the way, Transfans are most definitely geeks.

Not necessarily. Just because one engages in a hobby does not make them a geek. Being a geek is a whole lifestyle, putting your passions above & beyond everything else, such as food, or paying bills. I really don't know of a whole lot of people on here that could actually be defined as geeks. Most are average guys with average jobs that grab a few toys every now & then. Neophilacs, perhaps......but not geeks.Shadowman wrote:nelson_michaelbay_com wrote:

I couldn't agree more! They're having so many blasted prescreenings of the film, it's not even worth saying that the movie is coming out on a specific date! Yes, having prescreenings is cool and all, but this is getting so common with this film, that I don't even see it as "special" anymore.

I put Transformers above evreything else.
Geek is to broad of a term these days. Geek was used to discribe some one in a sideshow that bite the heads off of chikens i think. It came form the old side shows. Then it was used to discribe the brainy kid in school that had a pocket protector and thick glasses that played D&D and talked about computers (Bill Gates). Now its used for almost evrey thing from computer programers to trekies. Basicly a geek these days deals with computer programing building and programming or is really into something ie Star Trek, Star Wars or even Transformers. So by todays lingo yes we are "geeks" in the eyes of the normle evrey day idiot. If you dont like being called a geek just say "do i look like Bill Gates? No i dont so im not a geek." And if that doesnt work hit the guy in the face that called you a geek and laugh at him while hes on the floor.

Look at what you're doing now: You're posting the definition of "Geek" on a message board dedicated to Transformers, a semi-famous children's cartoon and toyline from the '80s.
That, sir, is the defnition of "Geek." Be proud of it, man, we're a dying breed.
