Twincast / Podcast Episode #72 "BotCon 2013 Seibersocial"

Saturday night at BotCon unfolded like many previous BotCon Saturday nights. After the traditional dinner reception, many BotCon attendees partook in a fun Casino night accompanied by drinks and other entertainment. Many of us headed to Town & Country's Charlie's bar afterwards. Once the bar closed down, we thought it'd be fun to do an impromptu Seibertron.com Twincast/Podcast recording because, you know, that's always a good idea after a night of drinking and tomfoolery.
Many regular Seibertronian BotCon attendees were present ... some of the roster includes Joevill, El Duque, ScottyP, his girlfriend Candace, Rated X, Flux Convoy, Claire, Prime Evil, Mr and Mrs Delicon, and many others. If you were there, please feel free to join our conversation to share your thoughts about the first ever official SEIBERSOCIAL!
A word of caution about this episode ... it's a pretty raw episode. It was recorded around midnight on a Saturday night at BotCon after the bar closed. We were all having a really good time. During the episode, there are some ramblings, repeated questions, etc. And we all continued on with having fun while we were recording. It's a light hearted episode that some of you will find very entertaining while some of you will find it very annoying. It's just a carefree episode with a group of Seibertronians recording a moment in time at BotCon 2013. You've been officially warned!

I apologize... that's my fault. My room was near the spot we were hanging out and I kept bringing beer for everyone.

Listening to this podcast brought back a lot of memories from that night. Such a fun night! I didn't want to go to sleep but it was getting so late we had to part ways. Thank you Ryan for posting this.

Haha, this is sooo bad! I am very glad to have heard it though. That night was fantastic. Drinking and having a great time with some of my favorite people. It just doesn't happen as often as I'd like. I look forward to doing it all over again and hearing next years recording too!

I think Savage is trying to plan some Seibertron weekend social in August. That sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

I think we coined a new phrase for all of us. Seibersocial or Seibertron Social! Nice.
Savage was definitely one of the key people missing at BotCon. Thursday night just wasn't the same without him! And I even got my Thursday night work done early, thanks to El Duque's invaluable assistance, so that we could do fun stuff on Thursday. Lack of hotel rooms-converted-into-dealer-rooms and no annual Seibertron party hosted by Savage kind of put the kabosh on the usual eventful Thursday night at BotCon.

I... I can't recall where I was that evening when this was recorded. Pretty sure I was with the Lukis Bros of Unicron.com, but I don't remember if we were at Charlie's too or somewhere else at the time.
In other words, though I was at BotCon, I missed out on this recording.

So I wasn't the only one that noticed this. I think having the bulletin board so far away from guest rooms may have contributed to that? Feels like there were twice as many in Dallas.

I only ever really hit the same handful every year it seems and they were present. I didn't notice any lack of hotel dealer rooms. There's usually Megatoyfan, Captured Prey, TFSource and usually a handful of others. I don't remember hitting TFSource so... I dunno. Maybe they were there. Maybe they weren't. I didn't miss much IMO. Got to do lots of fun stuff with lots of cool folks and had some drinks. I'd say Botcon was another smashing success for us.

I'm glad I finally got a real chance to listen to this. It's better than I thought, really. I like how everyone mixes in there, just like we really do at BotCon.
