Some may say it was inevitable, but it appears FansProject hasn't quite gotten enough use out of the Protector mold yet.

A clear version has been placed on preorder at site sponsor BigBadToyStore.com for the price of $94.99, slated to ship in "Early June". This add-on appears to be designed for last year's Sons of Cybertron Rodimus.

Limited quantities? is this shadow scyther all over again? I don't plan on oepning my SOC setven if it is for a sweet set like this but Im not gonna let it just pass by like I did with shaodw scyther. Maybe once I see it in hand i'll bust it out.

Is this a BBTS exclusive?

Hmmm, looks like the first FansProject I may purposely sit out on. Still nice, but I don't have the clear Roddy or want it. I do hope they do a blue one for The club Sideburn or the eHobby clear HotRod.

That's what I'm wondering about. This version certainly looks marvelous and I wouldn't put FansProject past finding really sturdy clear plastics, but I don't have a clear Hot Rod.

Now a blue and white version, that I would jump all over.

So true. The figure is great and clear figures in general are really eye catching, this one is no exception. But clear plastic just doesn't have the strength of the regular kind. All that aside, I nearly choked when I paid $85.- for the regular version. No flippin' way I'm throwing another hundred bucks in that direction. Not when we've got Ninja Insecticon's coming out.

It's hawt. I bought it, and my SoC is still sealed. This would look killer with Gentei Wildrider in it.

i want it but cant afford it. i use my SoC Rodimus with Protector to so this is very tempting, just bad timing and it would be cheaper to buy an overpriced classics rodimus aswell

Um, it doesn't really need new parts, it's just a clear redeco, like the figure it's upgrading.
