Legally they're not. The patents for the basic building blocks have expired a couple years back.
I must say they're a lot better than those Built to Rule sets during Armada, and considering the necessity for simplicity (patents you know?) I'd say they're not bad. I may get one to try out, since I was really into Lego back in the day.

It's not that bad!
Sunday - Ratchet and Prowl
Monday - Starscream and Bumblebee
Tuesday - Sideswipe, Bumblebee (Basic), and Optimus Prime (Basic)
And later this week, I'll do Sentinel Prime and Optimus Prime (they're due to arrive tomorrow). Though I might stop with Starscream and Bumblebee so that I can get something else to tie in with the movie's release as I think general movie going people who come to Seibertron.com this (if you type in "transformers" on Google, Seibertron.com is in the top 10 results).

I prefer the head sculpt for Kre-o Jazz. Not a fan of the skowl or frown on Special Ops Jazz.

Maybe pull a headswap? But looking at it again, the Kree-O's head is just a hair too large to fit through the hood of Spec Ops Jazz, darnit.
