While he did not know really anything about Transformers, he decided to give it a try. He would then attend an interview with Micheal Bay, who hired him on for the movie. Cabrera would talk about in the interview how this movie was a big opportunity for him, seeing as how it will be his first blockbuster and it is a largely successful movie series.
Cabrera would also go on to talk a little bit about his character in the movie.
Spoiler Alert Below!
In the movie, Cabrera's character is a retired military man who is now head of an organization called TRF that hunts down Earth-based Transformers, sort of like a successor to Cemetery Wind. It can be guessed that this organization is also home to former Major Lennox, who is returning in the movie and has been seen filming with Cabrera. Cabrera also let slip he would be down for returning in Transformers 6, suggesting his character would survive the film.
End Spoilers

Spanish is my first language (out of 5), and reading the interview, I would like to point out there is more than meet the eyes...
basically:
-TRF, fights against "evil" transformers, so could be taken as NEST in ROTF... or against every single seibertronian, he didn't specified.
-Also his character did survive the 5th movie, but is up to the story/budged/director, if he will be involved on next transformers movies.
-there is also mention about Jun 23, as a premier, and the fact that their last filming day was Dec 10th.
...
about Cabrera, he went for a different movie casting, but he got transformers 5 as an offer, instead. He said he didn't know about transformers (he didn't watch any previous movie), but he knew Mr. Bay's previous work (Armagedon, etc), and this movie will be the biggest project in his career.

The rumouriest rumour this Sunday comes via entertainment website Deadline, reporting that Paramount has bought a Super Bowl (taking place on February 5th) ad space for 30 seconds. In previous years, the Transformers live-action movies have received attention in those very same spots - but now that we already have a teaser trailer and a number of TV ads, will there be enough interest to show more during the event? Let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!
Paramount will advertise (we think it will be Baywatch, although it could go with Transformers: The Last Knight). Universal also has committed to at least one spot during the game, with Sony in the pre-game show.

It'll be the Transformers/Baywatch crossover we all knew was coming.

Every time I watch the first trailer, and I see them exploring the giant sphincter-looking thing under the ocean, I think "Is that the Nemesis, or Unicron's butthole?" Maybe Unicron is traveling the cosmos to Earth to angrily retrieve his long lost sphincter.

On notification from fellow Seibertronian Stuartmaximus, we went to find the source of some new information about the upcoming Super Bowl (this Sunday 5th February) and the rumoured Paramount slots during the adverts. According to Deadline, again, Transformers: The Last Knight is most definitely planned to be shown during the 'game'!
How different will it be from what we've seen already? Will it interest enough to warrant watching the latest instalment in the live-action franchise? Let us know in the Energon Pub, before, during and after the new clip emerges!

PREVIOUS: Word is leaking out about which movies will claim TV spots during the Super Bowl on Sunday. Paramount will run a Transformers: The Last Knight trailer during the game, while its anime adaptation Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johansson will have a spot before kickoff.
It’s going to be interesting to see what Paramount does with Ghost in the Shell. The Melrose lot has employed a rather clever campaign for the film, “hacking” the Mr. Robot finale and running logo-less clips from the movie between commercials. Ghost in the Shell hits theaters on March 31. Transformers: The Last Knight will debut on June 23, leading up to the Fourth of July holiday stretch.

We will probably get one new scene or shot in it/
All the super bowl trailers have had new footage. 2007, Dotm like TLK had trailers before the superbowl spot and they had new footage so I don't see why this super bowl would not.
I don't think paramount would try to get an ad for the movie in the Superbowl if it was just going to be the first trailer in a different order plus they have already had two spots on youtube that did that and i don't see a third one doing the same.

You know despite what some people say about the movies seeing this screenshot once again reminds me about how fantastic the cgi is with the exception of AOE which was good but not amazing.
If the first trailer and this screenshot says anything it's that the CGI is going to be great in this movie.
I'm actually really excited to see this film in a few months especially since most of the details are still kept secret and we haven't seen major leaks like the Sentinel Prime is evil and kills Ironhide leak disaster from DOTM which spoiled a bit of the movie for me.
