But, that's the monday after Canada day, it's a federal holiday - theatres will be closed.
I wanted a midnight showing, not at 8pm with a bunch of non-fans who can't tell the difference between TFs and Gobots!

Wow. That Tyler guy's really upset. Imagine how outraged he'd be if he found out TF was opening even earlier again in Australia, the Phillipines, a number of other countries that I can't bring to mind right now, that film showcase dealie in... Italy? Oh, and at Botcon. Damn you Paramount, or something.

Though, I have to agree with Josh Tyler. I though that 7-3-7 was pushing it (I was always fine with this), but this is just stupid on the part of the studio and co.

the theatres shouldnt be closed on the 2nd..it will be closed on the first for canada day but after that it will be fine. i hope it is on the second which means i can see it that much earlier but if not, then im at 12:01 on the 3rd fo sho!

According to the NZL theatre people, it's coming out on the 28th of June.
However, NZL theatres have a habit of telling mean spirited lies in regards to movie releases! However, in the larger centres they play them at 12.01am on the day of release, so it means if you go to that one, you're less likely to be sitting with every 12 year old and their apathetic parents.... who always look at me like I'm some dodgey perv for being at a PG rated movie... there's nothing wrong with a 25yr old chick going alone to Over the Hedge!!

Noo... seriously? I don't think so... I mean, theaters close on civic holidays, but not federal holidays. That holiday is meant for people who should have got time off work for Canada day but didn't. Theaters should be open.. at least in Edmonton they will. If west edmonton mall is open, silvercity will be open. But I seriously hope that's not the case that everything will be closed.

The film will be released in Australia on June 28, in United States and New Zealand on July 2, Canada on July 4 and in the United Kingdom on July 27. The U.S. release date of July 4, 2007 was announced at the Comic-Con International in July 2005, before being pushed forward to 8pm screenings on July 2.

No, it's for surely coming on the 3rd...
My friend works at a theater, and she was telling me how they had to throw out the giant standee for TF, since it had the wrong date on it (that date being the 4th). Someone on tfw2005 said it's coming out in Ontario on the 2nd, so I'm assuming the same thing across Canada.
.....Yeah, I was pissed they threw it out. She was gonna steal it for me, but they tossed it before she went to work
