Fans across the world are having fun finding the Transformers Age of the Primes line in stores a bit earlier than expected. We now have lots of reviews available for these figures, so here’s a rundown in case you want as much info as possible before spending your hard-earned cash on them.

Megatronus the Fallen
One of the original Thirteen Primes, Megatronus is a dark and powerful figure who eventually becomes The Fallen. He is known for his betrayal and for killing Solus Prime, an act that led to his exile. This figure captures his menacing look and transforms into a Cybertronian tank.

G2 Universe Grimlock & Autobot Wheelie
This Leader Class release features Grimlock in his Generation 2 blue and gold color scheme, a throwback to the 1990s toy line. He transforms into a robotic Tyrannosaurus rex and includes a small, non-transforming Autobot Wheelie figure that can ride on his back.

G2 Grimlock does not have a full video review at the moment

Prima Prime
The first Transformer created by Primus, Prima is the Warrior of Light and the original wielder of the Matrix of Leadership. This figure represents him as a heroic and noble character with a design that emphasizes his mythic origins.

Red Alert (Armada Universe)
Based on the character from Transformers: Armada, this figure modernizes Red Alert’s design while keeping his emergency rescue vehicle alt mode. He features sculpted details inspired by his original incarnation and is a treat for Unicron Trilogy fans.

Solus Prime
The Prime of Creation, Solus Prime is revered for her ability to forge weapons and artifacts used by the other Primes. This figure includes a stylized forge hammer and a sleek, powerful look that reflects her important role in Cybertronian mythology.

Air Raid
A member of the Aerialbots, Air Raid transforms into a jet and is known for his brash, reckless flying style. This figure captures his G1-inspired colors and simplified design suitable for younger fans or collectors looking to complete their Aerialbot team.

Slingshot
Another core member of the Aerialbots, Slingshot transforms into a jet and is known for his arrogant and loud personality. This version stays close to his G1 roots and complements the rest of the team for a potential combiner display.

Wasp (Animated)
Before he became Waspinator, Wasp was a cadet in the Autobot Academy in Transformers: Animated. He was falsely accused of being a Decepticon spy by Bumblebee and imprisoned, which began his path toward madness. This figure represents him in his pre-Waspinator form, with a unique green and black color scheme and a stylized alt mode.

While I've not personally seen AoP in stores yet, Game Stop did have Prima Prime in stock so I ordered it to get free shipping on a couple other items I wanted. Here i thought my first purchase for 2025 would be an Aerialbot. lol
And only because the 13 don't really interest me that much, I only like a few of the designs so probably won't get them all anyway. If not for getting a rebate on said purchase I would have waited for a sale on Amazon or something for this particular character.

My most anticipated figure as of now would have to either be Silverbolt or Air Raid.

Spotted two Animated Wasps at my local Walmart. If they had anything else it was long gone.

Went by by closest Wal Mart and actually found 2 Red Alerts and Prima Prime. Picked up Prima.

I just transformed Red Alert and man... It's good and bad. The good is that he look perfect in all mode and he's solid in hand. The bad is that he's full of really, REALLY HARD "snap" joints all over the place, making posing a chore. Plus the heels and head are badly designed because for transformation, I needed a tool to take them out of their holes.

Also...

I can't believe that DELUXE Transformers now cost over 50$CAN.

I miss the old CHUG / Unicron Trilogy days...

I don't care about the official label.
It's the size of a deluxe, the weigh of a deluxe, and the parts count of a deluxe.
By classic CHUG and Unicron Trilogy standards, of course.

I got my first Age of the Primes sighting last night at Meijer of all places, and picked up Waspinator. Hes really really cool. The mold has thoroughly impressed me, its so sold! Holds good in both modes. Can this be the new generations esq body mold for Bumblebee going forward? Litte retool and it could make a sick non animated style Bee or Cliffjumper

Thanks to JTPrime 17, we now have our first listing for the 2026 Age of the Primes line and it is none other than Big Convoy. Now we knew he'd be coming in one way or another, with him appearing on previous artwork and we also had a rumour of him coming out as probably Made to Order. Well it turns out he won't be made to order, but will instead just be a standard retail release, coming out as a leader class figure.

Here is the listing:

Tra Gen Prime LDR Big Convoy
Product Number: G1906

I'm hoping that it's no taller than the original, since the three main hero Convoys of Japanese Beast Wars are all supposed to be equal in height to each other in their organic beast robot forms.

And I guess we'll have to wait and see what name they sell him under, since Hasbro has never used the "Convoy" name for a Japanese-original character at US mass retail.

"Big Prime" would be hysterical, however unlikely.

I was going to suggest "Mammuthus Prime" as a joke, but that actually works, the more I think about it.

The more I've seen of the new Aerialbots, the better and better they're looking to be. While there are a few glaring issues for me with the combined form, even that is looking good, and it's a huge improvement over the CW version; while show/screen accuracy isn't a factor for everyone like it is for me and others, the engineering and combining system alone makes this new set better. It was a pretty decent letdown that these "ginormous, powerful robots" ended up so flimsy and unstable in toy form with the CW versions. I'm 98% sure I'll be selling my UW Superion. And for that matter, same for my UW Bruticus. As much as I wanted to like that set, the combined form just didn't deliver; not only does it lack in terms of appearance, again, the stability issue pretty much ruined it for me.
I think it's a safe bet that the Protectobots will be next. After Menasor, Defensor was the weakest CW combiner imo. I just hope these all get released next year. Maybe Onslaught will be the CC release for April, and Hot Spot will be the CC figure for August.

For anyone who preordered Silverbolt through Amazon, keep an eye out; my copy is supposed to arrive this Thursday.

Supposedly Powerglide and Swerve are coming next year so that sounds great! Finally be able to knock a big one off the list with I think leaving only Seaspray left.
Can't say I'm all that interested in the others on this list though.

Haven't fully decided on getting any Combaticons yet so Blast Off and brawl are an uncertainty as well as Quintus and Amlagamous Prime.

Just heard about these leaked listings as well.

Onslaught will be a Commander Class release. I'm sure there's at least a bit more coming as well; I would think Swindle will be released next year to finish the Combaticons.

Thanks to JTPrime17, we have the entire Age of the Primes line currently scheduled for 2026. It has Big Convoy, of course, but the other leader that year is Universe Razor Claw. So Brawl is a voyager but Blast Off isn't? I guess Onslaught won't have the same setup as Motormaster and Silverbolt. And this means we're getting a voyager Swindle.

Will that Prime Cliffjumper be the one from the Target 4-pack?

Sureshot is getting a release, I thought he was cancelled.

Still no Seaspray, but it's good to see Quickstrike. Probably pass on all the others.

But we can assume it's the figure that was intended earlier, correct?

Now I wonder if we'll get a new, actual Targetmaster Crosshairs.

That would me nice, but I think Point Blank's in more need of another redo, preferably a Voyager if that's what it takes to get all his accessories and proportions right. Someday.

But yeah, Crosshairs also deserves a better vehicle mode than Siege gave him. It's kind of an inversion of how the 3 '87 'Con Targetmasters came out so good in TR, but only Triggerhappy was easy to find. I have high hopes for Sureshot, but I always liked PB and CS so much better that a perfect AotP toy of him would ironically be kind of frustrating.

Then again, I've hung onto my Roulette this long to reenact the sharpshooting competition from his TFU entry...

I’m disappointed that Nexus will almost definitely not be a combiner. I know that in the AOTP box arts he’s based on his Aligned iteration, I was just hoping that they would do something combinery.

This is the most surprising one to me for a few reasons

First of all, with Cybertron Sideways coming out, I had all but given up hope of an Armada Sideways releasing.

Secondly, he's a Voyager? That makes me wonder if he might be deluxe-sized and come with his Minicons.

Definitely looking at Blastoff,
Maybe Smokescreen to complete my Datsuns.
Brawl, though why is he a voyager? Is he including the Bruticus thigh?
Powerglide definitely
Hopefully, Armada Sideways is not a Walmart capsule elusive like Cybertron Sideways.
And Onslaught.

Swindle is going to be the last guy?

He's the only one that actually requires his mini-cons. So it makes sense to make him a voyager to be able to include them.

Without his minicon his main gimmick is rendered moot.

I just hope he's not a Walmart capsule exclusive.

On this topic, I was just reading that the character was named 'Slammoth' in Beast Wars: Uprising.

Perhaps Slammoth Prime?

Or they could name him Domitius Major, after this Maximal sharing the mold from IDW's 2005 run

That was done because "Slammoth" was one of the names Hasbro was considering for the Fan Built Combiner poll back in Combiner Wars that resulted in the creation of Victorion, and Jim Sorenson liked the name so much that he wanted to give it some form of official use since it didn't win the name poll over "Victorion".

They could do like the did with the Puffer/Road Ranger two pack, and give two versions of the same mold. Bad Boy and Viper.

Aside from Bug Bite haven't they already covered all of those that came in the 5-pack with Bad Boy?
Seems to me there's not many left for multipacks unless they go with Tailgate or maybe Outback?

Maybe the Walmart retro subline will offer them there, be nice I don't much care for multipacks as I tend to only want one of the bots.

Beyond ecstatic to see Quickstrike on this list, I was concerned this slate wouldn’t have any beasties. With Quickstrike, we will have every (barring Transmetal forms) original Maximal and Predacon except Depth Charge and Rampage. With only two of the cast remaining now, I can’t imagine we won’t be getting a release of them. Would prefer individual release but it’s a pretty obvious 2-pack.

I was wondering if it could be Armada or Prime Smokescreen.

Similarly, the last G1 Cliffjumper was in 2022, so perhaps he could be Animated (using the Bumblebee mold) or even Energon

I'm wondering about that as well. And it makes me worry that Bruticus might not be as 'stable' on his feet as Menasor or Superion. The skeleton system seemed to work well in terms of making them poseable, and stable.

It does raise the question of whether Swindle will be a voyager too. Vortex and Blastoff as deluxe sized arms makes sense in terms of scale. But unless Swindle is a voyager as well, then Bruticus will have a very lopsided right leg.

Or do they have a partial setup in mind? With Swindle being a deluxe, but the right leg being set up to use the skeleton system? And the left leg/Brawl set up so that the Onslaught portions end at the thigh, and then Brawl takes over completely from the knee joint down? Unless the upcoming voyager Brawl has a VERY stable foot setup, ankle pivot, and knee connection? The new Bruticus could wind up being a floppy mess just like CW Bruticus was.

And how will the arms be set up? Superion and Menasor's arms 'worked' with the skeleton system because the animation models kind of depicted them that way. But Bruticus' animation model didn't look like his limb portions were attached to boxes which extended from the voyager core, they seemed to integrate a lot better as separate limbs. If Blastoff and Vortex use the skeleton system to attach to Onslaught, they'd have to do something to better disguise it.

I wonder if Onslaught will form the torso with arm skeleton for Vortex and Blast of to mount up, with just the upper thigh? Then voyager Brawl and Swindle could have a skeleton piece with their foot in their native colour, like the cartoon, which they mount on and connect yo the thighs on Onslaught?

Just spitballing a theory.

I assume Brawl is a voyager because he includes extra parts for Bruticus. Likewise for Swindle.

The thigh section and foot panel for combined mode would be by guess. While Vortex and Blastoff don't include anything extra. The fist and arms are probably included with Onslaught.
Re: Reviews for Transformers Age of the Primes Wave 1 Figures (2189563)

My guess is that Swindle & Brawl will have a little extra with parts (and engineering) that will extend to connect to Bruticus’s knee joints. And depending on which of those two is the more complex figure, the other will be packaged with Bruticus’s gun, just like Scrapper has Devy’s gun. Mixmaster must be slightly more complex, & won’t have any extras even though he’s still a voyager.
I’m using what we’re getting with these Constructicon limb bots as a reference for my theory.
Scrapper is barely more than a deluxe, yet is a “voyager”.
Which tells me these two leg bots for Bruticus won’t have much of any extras. Including the parts or engineering required to form substantial feet.

Onslaught’s release will include the arm supports, chest plate, waist, thighs/knee joints, & the feet.
If he somehow has the parts for a leg configuration like Motormaster & Silverbolt, that will be really unfortunate, because that will look very odd.

He was leaked first yes, but then the spot he was supposed to have was taken by Vortex. So as far as is known now Swindle has no release date.
Unless somebody knows something else.

I know there was just a huge amount of leaked listings, but those weren’t everything for next year. And who knows, maybe he’ll still show up this year…. Vortex is supposedly being delivered on Oct. 3rd from Amazon…. Swindle could be a late November/early December release. He is most likely a voyager, & I can’t even think of any upcoming voyager releases for the rest of ‘25.
Either way, it’ll happen.

Hey Seibertronians -- remember those jaw-dropping reveals from Cybertron Con and Hasbro’s 1027 event? Well, it’s almost time to clear some shelf space, because the next wave of Transformers figures is rolling out this spring and it is stacked with fan-favorites, deep lore cuts, and Constructicon goodness!

Whether you're building your personal pantheon of Primes or just hyped to finally finish Devastator (with screen-accurate Scrapper, no less), this wave is pure fire.

Let’s break it down Prime-by-Prime, bot-by-bot.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF THE PRIMES DELUXE CLASS THE THIRTEEN SOLUS PRIME
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $24.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.

She's the myth. The legend. The creator. Solus Prime forges her way into the Deluxe Class with a hammer that would make Mjolnir blush. Converts to a Cybertronian armored car in 28 satisfying steps and brings serious Prime energy to your display. Bonus points for finally adding more powerful women to your shelf.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF THE PRIMES LEADER CLASS THE THIRTEEN MEGATRONUS THE FALLEN
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $54.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, and other participating retailers.

This dude is pure chaos. Megatronus, a.k.a. The Fallen, is here in glorious Leader Class scale -- because when you’re the edgiest of the Thirteen, you don’t show up small. Converts into a tank (of course) in 38 steps and comes ready for battle with a requiem blaster, staff mace, and more accessories than most third-party upgrades. Dark lore? Check. Shelf presence? Double check.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF THE PRIMES VOYAGER CLASS THE THIRTEEN PRIMA PRIME
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $34.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.

The original. The noble one. Prima Prime is rocking Voyager Class glory and comes with the Star Saber AND the Matrix of Leadership. That’s right -- he’s bringing the artifacts and the attitude. Converts into a Cybertronian truck in 20 steps and has that stoic leader energy you can feel through the packaging. Absolutely Prime-tier.

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES DELUXE CLASS TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE BONECRUSHER
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $24.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.

Bonecrusher hates everything… except being screen-accurate! This guy’s finally getting his Deluxe Class due in Studio Series with full Transformers: The Movie vibes. Converts into a bulldozer in 16 steps and is your first Constructicon stepping stone to the long-awaited Devastator combo. He’s angry. He’s poseable. He’s perfect.

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES VOYAGER CLASS TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE CONSTRUCTICON SCRAPPER
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $34.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.

The Devastator dream is alive and well, folks. Scrapper is finally joining the Studio Series team in Voyager Class size. Front-end loader alt mode? Check. Movie-style detail? You know it. Combine him with the rest of the crew (sold separately, obviously) to finish the ultimate movie Devastator. For fans who’ve waited years -- this one’s for you.

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES LEADER CLASS TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION OPTIMUS PRIME
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $54.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, and other participating retailers.

Knight mode engaged! This is the Age of Extinction version of Optimus Prime fans have been waiting for. Leader Class scale. Converts into a Western Star truck in 44 detailed steps. Comes with his signature sword and shield -- and even a swappable head! If you ever yelled “Give me your face” at your toys as a kid… well, he’s back and ready to rumble.

Sound off in the forums and show us your Prime picks!

As of this typing, Prima's section has Solus's images instead of his own, while Solus's own section is image-less.

EDIT: Nevermind. This was all corrected within microseconds. ;)^
