This is a little off topic, but has anyone ever made a HMW drinking game? "Reset to find out your alt mode is no longer available, take a drink" "For every hour the game is down, take 2 drinks" stuff like that.

Kind of. You can petition a moderator to change sides. Going from Autobot or Decepticon to Maximal or Predacon shouldn't be to hard, since the two beast factions combined don't even total the Decepticons. Going up to a higher population faction on the other hand better have a good reason.

Simple. PM them. There's a list of moderators at the top of the HMW forum. I know there's four, but I can't remember the fourth. OS and Mkall can move you, I dunno about Crazyfists.

The Maximal rare strong air animal griffon comes up as a "?". And are any of these going to be fixed, like the rat shouldn't be a ferocious land animal?

That's what I assumed. Maybe one of the Cave Rats in Morrowind. There are far stranger ones, like the flying Eel and Ostrich.
