I was idly looking over a mission log just now and had a little surprise. It was more that the blue truck wasn't in fact Whisper's guy Damocles, which prompted this thread.
Does anyone else associate certain alt modes with specific HMW players/charaters?
Sure when the player base was a lot larger there were dozens of the same alt modes being used. The green Con tank for instance was very widely used but even then did you see it and think "Gore" or not make that same connection?
Hell I still think of Tammuz when I see the white Con repair tank, since he used that alt on his team and bow long's that going back now?
Curious if anyone else automatically links a certain alt in the same way and which ones.

That's why I altered the colour on my own tank to a darker shade of green. XD

Convoy alt = Ghost Rider.
Mostly because he was a cheating **** **** and took full advantage of that alts **** ridiculously overpowered ram/stun.

I don't always recognize specific players but usually can pick the level 10/11 characters at a glance based off the alts.
Just had a quick look at my last 6 ops and was able to pick steve's red rpg2275 and Kamjiin's orange Ultimax and purple speedbike Bob. That name game feud with Bun-bun helped with that.
Actually, I recognize a lot of Bun-bun's alts. Does he still run that 10 STR/END/RANK starfish around level 4? That set up was such an annoying pain in the butt. Pretty much automatic loss soon as you see the alt. Gotta hand it to him, haha

Hes currently TAG testing.
Some day he'll return but his build will depend on where he's needed (though it's safe to say he'll still be a unassailable lump that sucks at repairing)
My goal is for my main characters to be THE characters you think about for each of their modes (Well, not Sideslip, too many use the Shuttle... And Lilith may never beat Luny for the rights to the Sabertooth, but oh well)
The Giraffe will always be Longrack, and the Dolphin Steelsong.
That stupid Digimon wolf thing is always Jack
There's a Zoid Dino that'll always be tied to Archanubis
The dark red dragon for Suspiria & of course the dildo-missile carrier for HC
