ARMOUR: the unsolved variable

OS removed the option from the Admin panel, so I can't even look at the stats for the armor, and as far as the armor is concerned, I think Mkall is more interested in revamping the system altogether than tweaking the current one.

Also good..it needs some fine tuning.
If he should do this then there should be armour for every level and it shouldn't be so.....erratic in its effectiveness.

Fix it.
I also propose the name "Pretender Shell" as one of the new armours to fill the gaps.

"Matrix Armor" was inspired by the last level of the TF Armada PS2 game.
"Unicron Armor" was from Megatron's form at the beginning of TF Cybertron.

Beast Wars freak here, but same sentiment. Screw the Unicron Trilogy, lets keep with the G1-Beast Era stuff please.

some basic armors
Reflective=works well against light, heat and radiation.
Reactive= C4 placed in bundles on top of installed armor. this could be a extra armor added over a armor for a extra 1 hit safety ,like it is today,or a standard basic armor.

[Spoilers and stuff!]
Yes, actually. Sentinel Prime gets turned into a poopy paste by Megatron. You know, that guy with maxed out tech specs who lead an entire faction of millions of years? Makes a bit more sense when you bear that in mind.
Fusion Canon > Apex Armor.

But what is it the Apex of? You assume that it represents the Apex of Armors, but perhaps it is the Apex of Cybertronian Technology, in which case quasi-mystical or alien armors could potentially exceed it.

apex armour, the apex of armours, not exactly difficult concept to grasp here, if you leave of the fanwank for all of 2 minutes.
EDIT: and slip the order of armour's effectivness is listed in the first post.

Lots of people wrote:A bunch of stuff.
Possible answers, depending on your canon:
IDW - It's the apex of the technology developed by the police force which evolved to become the Autobots. Real world analogue? Police don't use the best armour the world has developed. Any PSNI man can tell you that.
G1 cartoons - The apex of Autobot technology. Now, the Autobots weren't a war-minded bunch. Especially not when it came to direct assaults. I see those Autobots more like that country in the film "The Mouse That Roared". Real world analogue? The Swiss guards. Armed and armoured, but not for total war.
Jeep's personal canon, which under OS would have been game canon (curse you!) - Apex armour is a name given to a model of personal assault armour, much like Lockheed & Martin's "Trident" MIRV isn't actually trident-shaped. 'Apex' here is the official branded name of the armour pattern. Real world analogue would be pretty much every piece of military hardware produced by private companies.
So yeah, the name 'apex' means little. Though I still think it should be a Rank 10 armour, purely based on its history of use - anyone on record using it has been a high-ranking individual.
