Arrayod-damn it, it's all about "Miami Vice". And "Sarah Connor", but they really need to do something about all the time travel, I mean, seriously, why not just have EVERY GOD DAMN MEMBER OF TECH-COM TRAVEL TO THE EIGHTEEN HUNDREDS AND KILL THE MAN THAT INVENTED ELECTRICITY.

Skynet exists because of Arnie in T1. They need to send him back to that specific time. Tech-Com's smartest move could very well be to send someone else back then to help Kyle and Sarah destroy the T-800 somewhere that isn't the labs for Cyberdyne Systems.

Did you guys ever watch Journey man? that is before the writers strike.....stupid writers strike. Sarah Connor gets a 7 out of 10 because they could have chosen a better John Connor, Burn Notice is pretty cool, and best of all

I actully rather liked coupling... but dotn anybody tell anybody that...

Anyway... The British are about the only race that can make sitcoms that dont completly suck. Dont get me wrong, we make our fair share of fecking aweful ones too (only fools and horses anybody?) but there some actully good ones too (Spaced, Black Books, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, the list goes on).

As for drama...

Well we used to be good, especilly scifi drama. These days? Well the BBC bigs it's self up a lot, but that only serves to make the shows fall flatter on their faces (Im sorry, but Torchwood has gotten worse with each season, nay each episode, and Doctor Who has also goten worse by the season (although the new guy might still save that)), ITV..? Chavtastic. Only decent show on there is Primeval, and the second season of that was clearly cheapened to the point of breaking.

Channel 4 is our only real saving grace for drama, Shameless is an excelent example of what they're all about. Unfortunetly, any network who made Carol Vordamen famous, and gave the world Countdown, already needs to meet an early end, so they lose too.

Ahh well, at least we didnt create Friends...

I grew up on British comedy (in particular The Goodies & The Young Ones with Blackadder, Mr Bean & Red Dwarf in my later years) plus Dr Who. So i've always kept an eye out on British tv.

Comedy wise Australia use to make some good comedies, unfortunately in recent years our "comedy" has been influenced less by British comedy and more by American comedy. Suffice to say, I just don't find that **** funny.

Recent British stuff i've enjoyed ...

- Life on Mars - Great concept, great characters. How can a person NOT respect Gene Hunt? Sure, he's a chauvenistic pig with an anger management and alcohol problem, but he gets the bloody job done!

- Jekyll - I loved the modern day twist on the Jekyll & Hyde story. Then again, it was also written by my favourite Dr Who scribe Stephen Moffett so i'm probably biased.

- Ashes to Ashes - Not as good as it's predecessor Life on Mars, still great to see Gene and the boys back but goddamn is she annoying.

- Skins - The characters were believable and the stories were well written.

- Doctor Who - No secret there.

- Torchwood - Didn't like the first season, second season was a major improvement.

- The Sarah Jane Adventures - Another DW spin-off clearly aimed at kids but damn if it's not a fun enjoyable show!

And to a lesser extent ...

- Primeval - I know Red loved this show, but i'm of mixed feelings about it. It had potential, but somewhere along the line it went iffy.

Red - You're not watching that "Demons" show are you? I bagged the first ep over the weekend because the concept of "the last of the Van Helsing line" seemed interesting, plus it stars Phillip Gleistener (or however you spell it, let's just call him Gene Hunt) and it has potential.

Scary thing about it, I had no idea which channel made it but it had that whole Primeval/ITV feel ... and what a suprise with the credits, ITV.
